Tony's Barbecue of Alhambra — Restaurant in Alhambra

I was pretty hungry and was in the general area. I noticed on Yelp that Tony's Barbecue was new and open. I dropped by and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend giving a call ahead in case any of their items are not ready. It seems like other reviews had a lot of issues getting their food within an hour and thankfully that did not happen in my experience.

I wanted to get the tuna belly set meal but they were out of it unfortunately. The squid apparently frozen and not ready. But I got the tuna collar and it did not disappoint! The tuna had a generous amount of meat. It was soft and tender and amazing.

The restaurant is located inside the restaurant. If you're craving some barbecue, I'd highly suggest...

I got the pork skewers and the pork belly. Some of the skewers were pretty solid but the pork belly was very good. Fairly juicy pork belly and some nice sauce to cut the fat. Customer service was a bit mixed but it was good enough. In my opinion I think they should give way more veggies and have tapsilog/tocilog as well in the menu. For the dessert I got their small pastry that was exquisite! It was wrapped in banana leaves and had salted egg and cream cheese in the middle...

I never had a bibingkinitan and I walked by saw it in the glass heating case. The shop was inside the 99 Ranch Market so I stopped by after I got my groceries. It was so good I bought 4. It's baked in a banana leaf, warm, soft, fluffy and slightly chewy. I also grabbed a flan sold in a tray. The menu is pretty big.
