Had to edit my review. Used to love this place. Things have changed. New owners. With new owners come changes. Welp, the changes were for the worst.

Went in a couple weeks ago, ordered a couple Coneys and fries. It was not on the special day. Here come my Coneys and damn, I get less than half the Coney sauce they used to put on. Literally a 1 ounce dollop in the center of the hot dog

I know because I am an executive chef. Seriously, ONE OUNCE.

So I complained. The server, whom I have always known and appreciated her hard work, told me that that's just the way things are now.

I asked to speak to the owner because if this is the new standard, they were losing us as customers.

The owner wasn't there.

I asked the waitress to bring a side of Coney sauce and that I would pay.

The cook told her that he would cover it this time. But this was the new portion size and it would be the last time.

HILARIOUS. It was the last time.

I will never again waste my money in there. The food has gone downhill since the new owners decided to save money, skimping on portion sizes and quality of ingredients. I know every product they use, I order stock every day for my kitchen. The quality of everything has gone down dramatically.

So they lost us as customers.

By the way...My wife, who is vegetarian found raw sausage and chicken in her salad. We complained to the server. The mgr did not come to our table to fix the problem... Instead, she told us when we were paying that she would have made a new one...

MAKE A NEW ONE? Really, and trust their cross contaminating cooks to get it right a second time? Nope. Sorry. So instead of taking it off our bill, we got blamed. "Accidents happen, tee hee."

My wife never returned.

And sadly, since their new standard is one ounce of Coney sauce, they lost me and everyone I tell to avoid that place.

Go ahead Tim's, save your money on the front side by being cheap and lose money on the backside by losing customers.

We ate there three times a week.

I don't mind paying more for quality. I will find that quality elsewhere.

BTW. The service is always great there. But that's because they were there before the owners changed.

Sad. Place used to be great.

BTW. Worst hash browns...

I'm not a food critic, however this restaurant should be thankful I'm not. I ordered the big breakfast (second time) and compared to the 1st, it was absolutely terrible. Presentation when I opened the container looked the food was thrown in there! I asked for bacon extra crispy, it was not. The sausage was undercook, pink on the inside, toast was not toast, but bread with melted butter on it. Hash browns were terrible! Dry and cold. Make matters worse, they do not have a debit machine and only accept cash. Not the end of the world on that one, however I think that is a little bizarre because we are living in an economy where very few people carry cash on them. Overall experience with food quality and customer service, on a scale of 1-10 I give them a two mainly because nothing was enjoyable about that breakfast. This restaurant should focus a little harder on serving consistent good quality food, and less on speed and getting customers out the door especially when your dining room does...

The waitress acted like my presence was the most inconvenient thing that ever happened to her. There's no sign saying cash only, the ATM they "provide" doesn't actually work. When informed that the ATM doesn't work, they couldn't care less, basically it wasn't their problem. The food is mediocre, but not awful. It was put on the plate really carelessly my food was falling apart. looking like they just threw my sandwich on the plate and served it. The coffee was honestly just bad. The reviews praising the place confused me, the best experience you could have here is just a mediocre time. There is absolutely nothing about food or service here that stands out at all. I had a terrible time & can insure that I will never return. I will actively and honestly advise my friends and family not to eat here. The only time the waitress stopped glaring at us is when she got her tip, the tip she didn't deserve, but I believe you should...

It was my first time visiting Tim’s Coney Island in Southfield this past Saturday with my kids and our church youth group, about a dozen of us in total. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were great, and the prices were very reasonable—our bill came out to about $10 each. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our experience even better. We all left satisfied, and I can honestly say this will not be our last visit. Definitely looking forward to going back soon!

My fiancee and I decided to try something new for breakfast so we tried Tim's. Its definitely a good thing we decided to try this joint because we found a new spot to eat at. We both got the Tim's special I believe. I also got the full order of biscuits and gravy, which were heavenly. Looked like they used bacon and sausage for the base to make the gravy. We both immensely enjoyed our plates and would easily recommend Tim's Coney island to everyone. Just make sure to bring cash.

I usually order here a fair amount and just about 30 minutes ago i ordered my fries extra crispy, when I picked them up and got home, they had melted through my takeout box so I couldn't eat them without being worried of consuming styrofoam. Please check the bottom of your box before you start eating! And if the restaurant could make sure to not put piping hot items into a meltable box, that'd be great
