Pros: The ice cream itself is very good! Staff is nice and the place is nice and clean. Cons: the wait for the food itself is long, they could use more staff maybe. Twice now on different days, I have tried to order a birthday cake shake and get something else. The first time I ordered a Birthday cake and biscoff shakes. I received the birthday cake ( it tasted like vanilla cake), and something else that didn't look like the biscoff picture, pretty sure it was this chocolate overload.. Second try for a BC shake and they gave us chocolate overload in the store but my husbanddudnt know til he got home. Just ordered a door dash with 2 birthday cake shakes and received 2 chocolate overloads again. If this shake is in fact the birthday cake then someone needs to rename it, its basic chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce at the bottom. And its good but basic. Visited this Dessert Lab in Allen for the 1st time and tried their Dubai chocolate crêpe and Dubai chocolate churros. The crêpe was an absolute 10/10—perfectly fluffy, rich, and packed with that indulgent Dubai chocolate flavor. It’s a must-try! The churros, however, were a bit disappointing at 6/10. They lacked the classic cinnamon-sugar coating you’d expect from churros, which was a letdown, and the texture wasn’t fluffy with a crisp as I’d hoped but pretty firm, maybe over fried?!?!

The overall experience was great, with a fun vibe inside and lots of tasty treats to choose from, but I have to mention the highchair situation. I absolutely love sweets and I’m a lover of chocolate. I read the reviews of how good the Dubai chocolate cup was and loved the presentation so I got delivery. I ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup & it was way too sweet for even me. It tasted like someone took a chocolate bar and melted it in a cup and added other ingredients. I was expecting more of a balanced out flavor but every ingredient was very sweet. I ate the strawberries out of it and threw it away. Maybe I’m getting old and my taste is changing.
