I had to edit my rating. It had been 4 stars down to 2 and that is being generous. We had the most horrible service ever on Saturday, Dec. 4th. They were busy and that is fully fine. We didn't mind waiting nor that it took food longer to come out. Both totally acceptable with how busy they were. What wasn't acceptable was our waiter. Name on receipt is Selvin. Worst service ever. Walked by us several times without acknowledging us before finally taking drinks order. Walked away before we could even tell him we wanted queso. Get drinks and order food. He never acknowledged our table again. I ran out of my soft drink. Another waitress saw and got my refill. Food comes out for 2 out of 3. We don't have silverware. I had to flag down another waitress because our waiter was no where to be found. After waiting close 10 minutes we flag her down again because, yet again, our waiter is no where to be found to find out about our son's food. She goes to check. She was busy too and didn't get an answer for us but this wasn't her job. After ANOTHER 5+ minutes our waiter walks by us without acknowledging us. I flag him down to ask about my son's food. It has now been close to 15 minutes of our food being out and not his. He was starving and we were giving him some of our food. Waiter comes back and says we don't have chicken nuggets and fries. Are you serious?! This would not have been a problem if he told us sooner or checked in with us but he did NOTHING. Now I have a hungry crying 5 year old. He brings out this nasty congealed, dry Kraft Mac and cheese. I wouldn't even let him eat it, it looked so gross. I flag the waiter yet again and ask him to get the check and that I will Not pay for my son's food. I paid our bill and left a $5 cash tip. About $4.98 more than...

Was in for lunch today. We were greeted and sat quickly by the hostess but that's where it went south, the smell of the cleaning agents was almost to the point of walking out. Mexican restaurants should smell like the food they cook , it was really bad today. Our server came over, took the drink order, came back 5 min later and the glasses hit the table so hard, I thought they were going to tip over. Server came back 10 minutes later after dropping food off 2 tables ahead of us. Rudely took the order and that was the last we seem of him, even though several employees walked by, nobody was attending the tables. We were all just left in limbo. Fajitas had no sizzle, they were not even hot. Guacamole was watered down, Pico had no salt, and all were hastily thrown on the plate. Beans tasted like every other Mexican restaurant in NEO, my dish was very, very well salted to the point of it not being edible. The portions were lunch sized but dinner priced and on the small size as well.

As far as authentic, I do not know what bar is being used to grade authenticity. I come from Southern California and have traveled through Mexico extensively for the past 25 years. This is nowhere near authentic, not even by half and coming from families that cook Mexican food at home in Mexico, this has no resemblance to the fresh, vibrant and inviting cuisines Mexico offers. Not even close.

I'm only giving this account because maybe, just maybe, this might be seen by people that can do anything about it. We've been visiting this location for a little while whenever we do our shopping in Alliance. While we have had good experiences, this visit (2-25-23) was downright abysmal. We came in, and was seated and then we waited. And waited. In the meantime, several parties came in, were seated, and got their drinks ordered, and received. After close to 15 minutes, the front hostess finally took our drink orders and got them. Another five to seven minutes went by before our server finally came and took our order. This gentleman looked and acted as if he wanted to anything else than serve our table. After we received our order, my wife had just about finished her drink and our server never came around. He finally came by and refilled her glass when we were almost done. Now to be fair, the food was hot and tasted good. But the general attitude of the staff on this visit, at least towards us, was flatly apathetic. They got their price but in this visit, I left no tip and explained on the receipt that I felt their attitude was poor and wouldn't be visiting for a while. I listed 2 stats because while this visit was exceedingly sub-par, they are usually a good place to eat. Usually, but...
