Staples — Local services in Alliance

I went to staples today to have a printout from my email! It was my first time doing this. I asked the assistant if she can help me and I told her I’ve never done this before! She looked at me and said as she pointed to the Copy machine, “ there is a email on top, send it to that! I looked at her mean, and disgusted face and said”ok! I tried to figure it out for 10 minutes so I asked another girl who was working! She was doing something with boxes, and said” it a few minutes” so she continued with the boxes. The first girl walked over with the same attitude. I told her I won’t be back. The second girl said there is only two of us here. I said I was the only one here for a few minutes! If I hated my job that bad and treated customers like she did I would get another job and do herself, and the customers a favor! I was a nurse for 34 years. Even at the worst times in my career, I never treated anyone so poorly! I was always kind and compassionate! This week and last week has been extremely stressful for me. My husband had opened heart surgery and had three complications and is back in the hospital after one day home. A kind face and a smile could have made a difference. This review is a long time coming. I quit using Staples in Alliance, OH because the service is horrible, more people are pretending to work, they have a register light on and tell you that register is not open, go to the next one with the light off. Air-Head City, not a office supply store.

Over the years I've been talked down to, spoken to rudely, they can't find an online order I had shipped to the store multiple times. I can't make this next one up - I went in the store with a UPS drop-off and was told I just missed the truck by about 10 minutes. OK - then the "Air-Head" proceeds to tell me maybe I can catch up to the truck. Say What!!! In which direction should I start out? Has the driver worked his way East to West and is now on Rt. 62? Any clue as if I'm going to try that.

I only use Staples in a pinch, usually for a special size box. Too Bad - I do several hundred dollars a month in office supplies. I have purchased a Kindle, a laptop and two desktops with flat screen monitors, three printers over the years but have since upgraded through Amazon. In fact, I purchased 99.9 percent of my office supplies through Amazon. I get free "Prime" shipping to my office door.

Needed a pretty standard replacement power cord for the Epson printer I had purchased less than a few months ago from Staples. Waited in a long line to be greeted by the least hospitable person I’ve met in quite awhile and that’s saying something as I deal with lots of vendors daily. I asked for her to point me towards the printer cable I needed and was smugly given a “yeah we don’t carry that”. I looked it up while still the in store and found it online, but it was unfortunately sold out in store.

Was going to just order online but after the complete lack of decent customer service I drove to Office max and picked up what I needed instead.
