My wife and I have been looking forward to trying this place. The grand opening was the beginning of this week so we expected some issues which we did encounter. When you first walk in there is no signs letting you know to go left to request a table, if you just walk in and go straight to the register, this is where you purchase the wine from. After figuring this out, we went to the correct counter where we asked for a table for two. This is where the issues started. They have numerous workers at the front helping customers but they only have one machine to show what tables are available. As the young lady took my name another couple walked in and met with another front desk worker and asked for a table for two. Well, she was apparently on the computer that showed what tables were available and was going to walk them to a table but the young lady who was helping me, told her to hold on a second because we were there first. Not a big issue to me but definitely something that should be worked out. After being shown a table our waitress came to our table and explained the history of the restaurant and asked what we wanted to drink. After placing our drink order she came out with the complimentary bread with our drinks and then left. She didn’t ask if we were ready to order or if we would like to place an appetizer. Well, we ended up waiting for 10 minutes before she came back to our table to ask what we would like to order. My wife placed her order first along with the appetizer we wanted which our waitress completely forgot to ask me what I would like to order. I looked at her and said, I would like to order some food. I’ve never had this happen before which all I could do was laugh. After placing our appetizer and food, we ended up waiting a little bit for the food. The appetizer and our food came out at the same time which to me defeats the purpose of an appetizer. I can count on one hand how many times, I have had to reject food. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done and when I cut into my burger it was really pink and not cooked in some areas. A manager came around and asked us how our food was which I told him, not so good. I showed him my burger and told him I asked for it to be cooked well done. The manager agreed that my burger was definitely no where near well done and told me he would get me another burger. He was awesome and came to our table twice to let us know my burger was almost done. He then brought out my burger which I thanked him and cut it in half… sadly once again the burger was pink inside which I wasn’t going to make a scene about it. Throughout this time, my drink “soda and my wife water” cup were empty which I had to ask our waitress for a refill. I didn’t eat my burger and just asked for a to-go-container. I will microwave the burger when I get home to fully cook it. I will say the burger looked amazing. I just wish I could have enjoyed it there instead of having to bring it home. The manager did comp my burger off the bill which was really nice of him to do. We came in knowing there will be some issues so overall this was expected to some degree. My wife and I both agree we will give this place another try but not for a few months. They should have all the issues worked out by then. Also, all the staff were EXTRA polite which made it very creepy at times. A soft smile and great customer service is all...
Read moreI’ve dined at several Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants in different states and was excited to see a new location in Georgia. My husband booked a reservation for Friday night, and when we arrived, we were seated quickly. The decor and ambiance were carefully curated. However, once we were seated, things started to go downhill.
Our server greeted us, but since we were still reviewing the menu, she said she would come back. When she returned, we placed our entire order, requesting that our appetizers come out prior to entrees. We ordered hibiscus tea, peach lemonade, a chopped wedge salad, sweet chili calamari, filet mignon with Mary’s potatoes and asparagus, and the Seasonal Chef’s recommendation: miso-glazed Chilean sea bass. After placing our order, we had to ask for glasses of water, as none were brought to us. About 15 minutes later, we finally received our water.
The drinks gradually arrived; my husband received his hibiscus tea, while I was still waiting for my peach lemonade. They provide complimentary pretzel bread, but we had to request it while waiting for our appetizers. My peach lemonade eventually arrived, but throughout the night, I didn’t receive a refill or was asked if I wanted another one.
When the bread came, I reminded our server that we would like our appetizers to come out prior to our entrees. She told us they would be out shortly, as the manager needed to talk to us about food allergies. The manager came, reassured us that our appetizers would be out soon, and then rushed back to the kitchen. Shortly after, we received the sweet chili calamari, but they were cold and hard, suggesting they had been sitting for a while, although they did have decent flavor.
Not long after, we received our chopped wedge salad and both of our entrees. Unfortunately, all the food came out at the same time, which was exactly what we had asked the server not to do. We mentioned to the manager that we had reminded her twice about bringing out the appetizers first. While she apologized, she attributed it to the error of an inexperienced server.
The salad was lackluster, and while our entrees were decent, we struggled to enjoy them since we were still trying to finish our appetizers. Once we finished, we asked for our check. It took a while to receive our check, as our server mentioned she was “working onfixing it.” While we waited, another server came to our table with a dessert, saying “happy birthday.” We explained that it wasn’t our birthday and were surprised, as we weren’t aware that the dessert was meant for us. The server then went around the restaurant before returning and stating he was instructed to give it to us. Although we appreciated the gesture, the dessert had gone around the restaurant, so we weren’t particularly interested in eating it.
Eventually, we received our check and were pleasantly surprised to see that they had deducted the cost of the salad. We appreciated this gesture, but we really wished our food had come out in a timely manner and was served hot. Overall, this visit fell short of our expectations. We hope that if we decide to visit again in the future, our experience will be...
Read moreI want to say that the first time I went I fell in love with this place. So this is a super dope winery situation. You come in the door and there's wine galore so if you're into fruit of the vine, this would definitely be a spot for you to go ahead and play around in.
So this spot has free parking in the parking lot because it's in the middle of a parking lot of a shopping center. So you don't have to worry about having to pay or anything along those lines. So that's really good.
I actually stayed there in that area more than I went to the bar and the dining area. But there was so much to see and everybody was super friendly there, why would I leave? LOL!
So let me first start by saying this, I actually am subscribed to the wine club membership. Every time you have your membership re-up, you'll get wine in your account. And you can go and get this wine whenever you want. You don't have to go buy anything specific or go to the bar, just go to the first wine tasting area and then they'll let you pick what you'd like. This is really dope because they let you try a number of things before you are able to make your selections so you make the right selection.
I'll also say at this spot is definitely dope for wine tastings. Depending on what kind of membership you have at the wine club, you probably are able to get a couple of tastings on your account. So they will have a layout for what they're going to do for the wine tasting and then they will walk you through maybe six to eight different wines. The wine tasting goals for about an hour or so, give or take, so just keep that in mind as far as if you are going for dinner or have reservations. They actually have a lot more space than you see right at the gate. There is some outdoor seating and there's actually a dining room tucked away as well so don't make it seem like they don't have space when you first go there.
Also just to note, if you go there on a weekend, be careful because the lines can be very long at the wine tasting bar. So imagine having it be shoulder to shoulder when you have a ton of people trying to all do the wine tasting and the lobby be full. You can see the pictures that the lobby is very spacious and the wine tasting area but from my understanding, it gets really packed!
When I got there I met Stanley, he was behind the wine bar and was super solid and help me make the right decisions and didn't let me walk away unless I was satisfied. So shout out to him.
I really want to go back and try the food and maybe try some of the cocktails. The bar is very nice and clean and very well put together, but the starter show is definitely the one. I will definitely be going back in hell I may up...
