I live over at Avalon and I choose this location because they have a drive thru and it’s super close and always fast. However this morning I had a HORRIBLE experience- they finally opened back up after being closed due to COVID and I decided to go back and continue my support. The older guy at the window with an Australian accent is usually amazing but this morning basically threw my food at me, I asked a question and his reply was “not sure” and laughed at me. I then asked for one more thing before leaving (two straws) and he looks at me and forces them at me to get out of their line basically. Look I’ve been a fellow barista too - I worked for Starbucks for a year while in college. I get it morning shift is there by 4-5am but this kind of attitude is completely unacceptable and actually hurtful. This Starbucks has always been my favorite activity of the day considering I work from home and don’t go out due to the pandemic - I love getting to say hello to them all. Read moreTwo visits today. First was a mobile order through the drive through. When you show up to the ordering box, the menu board is hard to read. The mobile order was not ready upon arrival but was ready at the drive through window after two cars ahead got their order. A paper receipt was not available when asked for at the pickup window with the staff saying the only way to get it was through the mobile app. (This is problematic for business expenses). Second visit ..inside. Ordered a mocha. The menu board only shows one size and one price. But there seems to be three different sizes (with mystery pricing at time of order). The bathrooms are unisex and require a code for entry (2345). Wi-Fi works with a log/ email address collection for Starbucks marketing. Read moreI have never had such horrible service and someone be so rude as I experienced this morning at this store. I went to the drive-through and only had $100 bill. The lady says we don’t have change and hand me the money back I said well what would you like me to do, she went to tell me they’re not a bank and they’re not a store and that I should not be bringing $100 bill. I said you are in business and it’s 11 o’clock in the morning how do you not have change I said, I’m sorry I don’t have anything smaller but why don’t you just give me the cuppa coffee since it’s 10 cars behind me And I will pay you tomorrow. The manager comes over and refers to me as “dude“ that’s not how it works. He said give me the hundred dollar bill and I’ll give you your change and quarters.
