So I come into the drive through a few minutes after placing a mobile order for my regular drink, a hazelnut oat milk shaken espresso with non dairy cold foam. I get to the window and Jordan is handing me my drinks when I politely told them “oh, excuse me, these drinks don’t look like they were made right” and they responded “how did you want it?” so I tried to explain that usually when I get this drink, it’s not mixed. It’s a shaken espresso, there’s supposed to be distinct layers between the espresso, the milk, and the cold foam. They proceeded to explain that “That’s how the drink is supposed to be made and maybe it mixed because it’s a mobile order and was sitting on the counter or because of the non dairy cold foam” and I tried to explain “This is my usual drink I always get and I’ve never gotten it mixed like this before, I can show a picture of how I usually get it” and was about to show Jordan when they closed the window in my face as I was explaining. So I waited for a while and then Colton came to the window and asked me about the drinks, that’s when I explained myself again and showed a picture of how my drink usually looks. Now, I don’t think Colton wanted to really speak to me either, but at least they were professional and offered to remake the drink and when the drink was still wrong, I asked if we could just do a refund, to which they agreed. Meanwhile, Jordan was staring at me from behind Colton through the drive-through window giving me the nastiest looks when I was nothing but polite even after she closed the window in my face while I was speaking. I can’t hold it against them that they are under-qualified don’t actually know how to actually make coffee, although I appreciated Colton’s professionalism in contrast to Jordan’s rude, unprofessional, and quite frankly, immature demeanor. However, it is Starbucks’ responsibility as a company to make sure they hire competent people for these positions. Went to the Starbucks at the Target nearby right afterwards, ordered the same exact drink without having to explain myself, and got it made right the first time. I hope Jordan and Colton see this review because I will attach a picture of how the drink looks when it is made correctly, since Jordan wanted to shut the window in my face when I tried to show them. Maybe you can reference the photo and learn how to make a drink that’s on your menu correctly. I hope management can have a conversation with them about hospitality as well, because no one should be treated like this when trying to get a quick pick-me-up and asking for a drink I’m spending my money on to be made correctly, which is well within my right as a customer. In all my years of working in the food service industry, I have NEVER treated a customer like this, and there are some rude people out there who will curse you out and you still have to be professional but I’m getting treated like this for asking my drink be made correctly? Now I will attach photos of when I got this drink at Target and had it made correctly, as well as a photo of the drink two hours later, still layered, still not mixed. So if you want your drink made correctly and without the side of attitude, I recommend Target, not this location.
Update : Spoke to a live customer service representative on the Starbucks website and they documented the incident as well as sending me a $15 credit for my experience. I appreciate the company trying to make up for the experience, however, I still would not return to this specific location in order to avoid encountering these employees and having an experience...
Read moreSome of their staff who work late have so much attitude and are a bit too aggressive.
One of the employees (young African American girl with glasses) handed me my drink (it was supposed to be a hot PSL) and it was cold, like freezing cold (while I ordered a hot one). I told her it was supposed to be a hot drink and she was trying to convince me that the temperature is how it is supposed to be since they add whipped cream to it. And I said ok but this is way too cold like an iced latte! Can you at least hear it up? She said no she couldn’t and the only way is if she makes a new one! Then I said do you understand that I ordered a hot drink and the drink you gave me is COLD? Then she started arguing and getting an attitude with me. Then I told her “can you touch my cup to understand what I am talking about??? It’s freezing cold.” After another full round of attitude, she touched my cup and realized she poured the coffee while their machine was turned off! Like how can you mess up that bad and not realize that the coffee you’re pouring is cold! And then later on, when the customer tells you about it, you still keep insisting on your mistake!
So my message to the store manager and this specific employee is that you do not need to always argue with people without even listening to them. It’s fine if you make a mistake but if you insist on it and don’t even let people talk and think you are always right is not cool. Especially when someone is paying $8...
Read moreI frequently accost Starbucks. I order the same thing every day. So my total is consistently $7.17. I just recently started back ordering from Windward. Tristian gives me a small hot coffee. I advise him that it was not what I ordered. He tells me that it was. He takes the coffee back and refunds me to do an entire new transaction. I’m slightly annoyed but it wasn’t a big deal. He brings another drink that was still incorrect. He then comes to the window asking me to get out of the drive thru and go to the end of the line until my drink was ready because he had customers waiting. I had to remind him that I was a paying customer as well and I was here first. If he had spent less time trying to teach me a lesson and more on fixing my drink we wouldn’t be here. It was literally ten cars behind me and I was not doing that. . I advised Tristian of two options a refund or new coffee. He gives me a drink and it was horrible and still not what I ordered. I assume he did that on purpose. I won’t be back at this location. I will continue to accost old Milton. They are so busy they constantly...
