Absolutely unacceptable customer service and a dismissive apology from staff. I have submitted an online request from corporate to understand In the future, should I not order ahead, opting to wait in line, and reasonably expect my food to be prioritized over online orders?
To be fair, this is not a normal circumstance. However, it is clear to us they "missed" our order and made a mistake, so something beyond "sorry" would have been nice (and I don't mean a full refund). But how about the manager walking over with the food saying something like "we're really sorry, this was our miss and I know this doesn't make up for it but " -- and then a coupon, say you put in an extra hash brown or offer some cookies or a bagel or something? I dunno. Something that takes the sting out a little.
The scenario: Saturday mornings are busy, wait times increase: understood. Ordered online to cut the wait time down (email timestamped at 10:33am ET). Proceeded into the store. Over the next 50 minutes, we watched many people walk into the store, wait in line, order, get their food delivered and some of them stayed to eat -- all while I asked 3 times about an online order for Malcolm.
The apology is pretty standard: "sorry". When pressed, they replied with "we're backed up". This was refuted by me given the scenario that they know to be true. Yes, I was cranky with my response. Yes, I was frustrated (and hungry) so no I did not ask...
Read moreI want to start off by saying I understand that prices for everything have gone up, however, I paid $15 for TWO bagels! I ordered a pepperoni pizza bagel on six cheese and added extra cheese because from prior orders I recall them being skimpy on cheese. I requested no sauce as well and added a cinnamon raisin bagel with a side of cream cheese & bottled water.
The pizza bagel came to me with sauce, a mediocre amount of cheese (definitely not EXTRA), and a couple pieces of pepperoni for $8! I could have gone to most pizza chains and gotten a large pizza for less than I paid for a single underwhelming bagel. To be fair, had there been no sauce and had extra cheese I have no doubt it would have been awesome.
The cinnamon bagel with cream cheese was close to $4 and a luke warm bottle of water was a little over $2. As I was leaving I remembered that the bagel sandwhiches come with chips so I asked if they cared if I took a bag. I thought about complaining to the staff about the order being wrong and the price but I had no time to wait for a remake and it's not their fault that the prices are so outragous.
My family and I come here once or twice a month to get bagels for the week but after this experience, I can't see myself coming back. The staff was nice, the bakery was clean, no complaints there. Really bad experience and poor value for the money. I'm not cheap in the least but $15...
Read moreStill have not eaten here in well over a year. Dont use this store, pls take your business elsewhere. The staff are very insensitive to autistic and non verbal children. Thats not ok, we need to send a message pls.
Food great. Usually everything great. Today a store worker took exception to my 3 year old son sitting on the table quietly eating with us standing right next to him (which we were doing for 15mins before being approached). We explained he is autistic and non-verbal and that he was safe and not bothering anyone. Felt the worker was rude and non-understanding in approach. We come here all the time. Now we are never coming here again. Thanks for being inconsiderate Einstein towards guests with disabilities...
UPDATE: was not satisfied with response after contacting corporate. Took business to casselberry location. All down to unfriendly staff, its...
