First understand, this is a pub, not a restaurant. Yes they have food but it seems its focus is being a pub first. Nothing wrong with that at all, but make sure you understand that going in.
It appears that many locals frequent this place and the servers take the time to know them and welcome them by name.
When we sat down we were greeted quickly and the server was friendly. The place was probably 1/2 full with people drinking.
We were given the menu and our order was taken quickly as well. It isn't a huge menu but again I wouldn't expect it to be very big as just a pub. We ordered the Paddy melt and chicken wing basket.
There's plenty of TVs on different channels to keep you occupied while you wait and eat/drink. We waited almost 40 minutes to get our food. In my opinion that's a bit long especially when the kitchen wasn't that busy. In fact no other food came out while we were waiting as everyone else was just drinking. When the food did come out, it was hot and cooked well.
The food itself was pretty good. Almost made up for the long wait. The wings weren't huge but nowadays it's hard to find large wings without costing a fortune so understandable. They were tender and had a fairly good taste. The fries were good too. The Paddymelt was also cooked nicely and tasted good.
Overall I don't think this is a good place for a quick bite. If you have time to kill and want to drink and have something to eat to go with your drink, then I would suggest it. Also appears they have theme nights as people were arriving for trivia just...
Read moreHeaded into Orlando on Friday evening and was looking for a cool, but lively place to hang out. After a quick search of the area, I decided on Paddy's Pub and headed over. It wasn't overly crowded for the space and definitely looked like a place where people could have some fun. I spoke with Joey at the bar and she directed me to a high top. I was checking out the cocktail specials when she came over, and was between the Paddy's Old Fashioned with Bulleit whiskey or the Green tea, with Bushmills Irish. Joey recommended the Old Fashioned, so I went with that. I guess she could see how hungry I was looking after the more than three hour drive, so she brought a menu over as well. I ordered some wings with a combination of mango habanero and their fire sauce. I was neither disappointed by the drinks nor the food. They both hit the spot!!! And the service was awesome even though the bar ended up with quite a bit of people. I didn't stay to play pool or darts, but there were some guys very excitedly playing the golf game. Turns out they were pretty good also. Tunes were provided by the jukebox that could be accessed through your phone, and the atmosphere was just what I was looking for. Whenever I'm back in the area I'll be back. And hopefully won't have as early a wake-up call as I did the...
Read moreWhat a GREAT place!!! The bartenders, Ms. Cat and Ms. Jo are some very hard working, friendly, and (even though they were busting their bums) very high spirited Ladies. Beautiful inside and out. Thank you, Sweet Jesus, for Blessing this world with those two Ladies.
The All American Burger was cooked to perfection. I am sad to say there was so much on my plate I could not eat it all. But, amen! Hallelujah, that burger was FANTASTIC. My compliments to the Grill Master! Job very well done!
The event of the evening was right up my alley. Karaoke! While I missed performing at one of my husbands shows, it was so nice going to this laid back Pub and just BREATH!
The one thing I would suggest, wrought iron patio furniture for your smokers. Offer them a more comfortable place to smoke. Second hand furniture isn't expensive allowing you to provide more accommodations.
Thank you Paddy's Pub for such a thrilling evening.
Much...
