My wife and I ate here after it was recommended by many friends and colleagues that this restaurant was quite good. The atmosphere of the Los Braceros exhibits an authentic Mexican cuisine feeling. Although it was small and busy, it definitely makes you feel like you’re in a real Mexican place as opposed to Tex-Mex or mainstream. My wife and I ate the Menudo and the Oaxaca Plate. Both dishes were very delicious. The bread that came with the menudo is something that I haven’t really seen at Mexican places. In addition, the Oaxaca Plate had a nice kick at the end of each bite and was very filling. If you’re looking for something that might serve as a meal for the next day for leftovers, the Oaxaca plate will serve as that main course to feed you both days. Aside from the food, the waitress that we had was very nice and accommodating to our table and the prices weren’t unbearable even in this modern era of inflation.
All in all if I had to say there is one criticism of Los Braceros it would be the parking lot. The parking spaces can be more defined and the parking lot should have some light. We went when it was dark and was hard to see.
In lieu of that, I recommend anyone to come and eat here if you’re looking for good tasting Mexican food and a nice quiet...
Read moreOrdered fajitas and was never brought tortillas shells. Waitresses asked if we needed anything and I told her I was missing tortilla shells, she looked at me like I was stupid. My husband and I both tried to explain to her several ways what I was missing and she couldn’t understand and acted like I was crazy for asking. She said those don’t come with fajitas. Several minutes pass and she comes back with a fried taco salad shell. How the heck am I supposed to eat fajitas with that!! She never once came back after to check not once. Manager finally comes over 20 minutes later and ask is everything ok. I tell her what happened and she says you told the waitress you didn’t want tortillas. No ma’am no I didn’t. She never brought tortillas to the table so how could I tell her I didn’t want them and wanted something else. Manager just said sorry and walked away. Horrible customer service and we will not be back. What kinda of restaurant brings fajitas and refuses to bring you tortillas to eat with, then makes the customer out to look like they did something wrong. We frequent Mexican restaurants and never once had this issue. On top of that, the oil smell in the air was making half the restaurant go into coughing fits. Even children...
Read moreVisiting from DFW for the night in Oct 2021, we needed a good Mexican restaurant to satisfy our craving and decided to give this one a try based on the reviews. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent, but that’s about all we can say that was positive about the experience. We had salsa and queso, beef enchiladas and a taco salad. The salsa was extremely runny with no consistency, flavor or heat. The queso tasted like it came from a jar of store bought Tostitos dip and the chips were stale. The beef enchiladas would not cut with a fork and did not have very much flavor at all. If you can’t make a good beef enchilada, you should not be making Mexican food. To top it off, the Taco Salad was “the worst ever had.” The establishment is small and parts of it (the walls, ceiling, floor) were in severe disrepair in some areas. We had asked a local their favorite Mexican food restaurant…they said Joe Taco and Jorges. We should’ve tried one of...
