Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Amarillo

Normally, I love this location. It’s close to my home AND my work. So when craving pizza, it’s my go-to choice. It’s been a stressful week, especially when car is in the shop so decided to get some comfort food and order pizza. Obviously had to do delivery since no car. When ordering, it wouldn’t let me choose debit/credit as payment; last time this happened at work, I was able to choose cash and the driver that helped me that time had no issue calling to get my food paid for. But I had tried calling the store myself with no luck of getting through. This time, I had some dude as a delivery driver and he was beyond rude! As soon as I heard a knock at the door, I knew who it was and grabbed my wallet pulling my card out. And I told him the situation. First thing out of his mouth and in a RUDE, condescending way: “so you didn’t think to be smart and call the store?” I told him I had and couldn’t get through. He rolled his eyes and said “yeah whatever.” Then proceeded to say “well that means I have to go to my car and get my phone to call” okay? And? It’s part of your job. Not my fault no one answered the phone when I tried to call before delivery was made. Before walking off to get his phone, he SHOVED my pizza at me, almost causing me to drop it. As I’m waiting, I had my door slightly open so my service dog could have an eye on me and stop whining at the door. As soon as he appeared, all she did was look his way and look at me. No barking, growling, nothing. The dude then proceeded to say I needed to control my “angry dog” and that “it must not be a good dog if she’s acting like that.” What angry dog? She literally was siting at the door watching me. Didn’t even make a noise. 🙄 she was whining prior, yes. But that was because I was out of sight. As soon as she saw me, she was fine. He was just rude all the way around, his tone was degrading and condescending, piss poor attitude, horrible customer service… like, that driver should NOT be working there. Let alone any customer service job with that bad attitude and the way he talks to people. Think I’ll just go to a different location from now on. Because I’ll be damned if I’m talked to the way I was, and commentary be made on MY service dog that he had no right to...

I order here regularly, the delivery people are always super decent. I’ve had minor issues with customer service before but I just had an issue with the app erroring out on me after I had thought I had put in an order. When I resigned in to the app, it was still giving me a delivery estimate and says it was being prepared but it was getting close to the delivery app estimate and the tracker wasn’t moving past “preparing”. It gave me a confirmation number and all that. The payment had come out of my bank account. So I called up there to check and if it wasn’t in their system I was going to put my order in over the phone. I wasn’t upset. It was clearly an app glitch which isn’t anything the store itself can help. This lady named Kelly answered. I was trying to explain what was going on and she interrupted me to ask my name, and I gave it to her and tried to continue to explain and was interrupted yet again to say that no order had been placed under my name. Which if it’s an app glitch it’s an app glitch but I still want my food if I have to reorder it over the phone. But after being interrupted that way, I wasn’t about to order it from there. I get it, you’re at work and it sucks but there’s no need to take it out on a customer who called with a question and a solution ready to go had you even...

We want to thank the guys for thier great service and let everyone know about our experience. We are driving across country from San Diego to Nashville tennessee. After 10 hours on the road we were force to finally stop due to snow. We called in at the very last minute. To be honest they had already closed for the night but they went ahead and not only made our food for us but even walked it back to the hotel we were staying at with 6 inches of snow already on the ground and more falling. If that doesn't deserve a 5 star review nothing does. Even better I normally hate pizza hut pizza and the pizza we received was great.
