Started out bad and only got worse from there. It was my birthday and I was craving the bloomin' onion. We walk in and there is no one serving the front counter. I am a patient person and I wanted to see how long the wait would be as well as how many people who work there I could make eye contact with. Turns out we waited 12 minutes and I made eye contact with 5 different people that work there, one of whom was supposed to be at the front. We finally sit down, order drinks and then food, no issues... yet. I quickly drink my tea (I explained that it would happen and that I was extremely thirsty)... wait wait wait... 15 minutes later and I finally get my 1st refill. My steak, ordered as medium rare, came out medium well (i emphasis RARE when ordering to prevent this issue. It was also confirmed by our waitress that it was supposed to be medium rare). Already having too many unforseen delays I had to attempt to eat the burnt steak or starve. Almost done, super thirsty, and our waitress graces us with her presence again and refills my drink. After we were done with our meal we waited almost 20 minutes before I flagged someone down, begging to pay my bill. Another 10 minutes and he returned, stating that our waitress would handle it... ok, game on... another 15 minutes and the bill finally arrives. Yes, we waited 45 minutes to pay. It seemed like she was having an awful day, asking if we wanted bread only seconds after giving us bread, asking us if we wanted dessert before our meal was even brought out, among many other things. Was my birthday ruined? No, but I sure as hell had to eat a garbage burnt steak and deal with atrocious service.
EDIT: We went again, it's still awful. The blooming onion and my fries seemed as if they were double fried (prepared, left out, then fried again) with old oil to boot. I can't bring myself to come back here again. I am not sure how you even find such poor quality steak in...
Read moreI’ve been to this Outback Steakhouse 5 times now and every time it’s a let down. The food is at best meh but more often barely palatable. The only consistent good food is the free bread. I had a steak that was ordered medium-rare, but was not even cooked enough to be called rare…nothing but blood and meat that you could even chew cuz it was o uncooked. The burgers are ok, but the fry’s never come warm they feel like they have been left out for a while. However, my biggest complaint is the staff. The greeters do and only do what they are there to do…show you a table…no small talk, no smile, and no enthusiasm that you chose their restaurant. The waiters don't cover a large number of tables, so I don’t understand why they never follow up on how the food is tasting. We have one waiter totally mixed up our drinks with another table, another give everyone coke when one 1 person ordered that out of 6. Of course the best waiter was the one who dropped 2 glasses of water on our table and on one of our Friends then spilled all over the floor. The waiter said sorry, and took 15 minuets to bring new rinks back, and never attempted to clean up the 2 glasses of water sitting in the aisle. I saw at least 3 folks slip while they were leaving. I’ve had previously positive experiences with other Outbacks across the US, but this one is...
Read moreMy take-out experiences have been pretty bad. Today, I got home and found no bread or a Sundae that we had ordered -- after having to go in because the girl didn't come out, but whatever. I called twice and let it ring for 5 minutes, the second time, with no answer so I went back up there. I asked for my bread and an upgrade on the dessert for my troubles. However, I never received an apology. The previous take-out was months, ago, and not much better. The take-out person at least came to my vehicle, but then just left my food (didn't know it was my food at first) sitting on the counter. They even helped another person with their food before I finally went in to get my food -- again, no apology.
I go to this Outback much less than other Outback Steakhouses I've lived near because I often get tough, stringy steaks. However, I do have the memory of good food so I try it, every now and then, and I continue to be disappointed. Good news, though, is that my wood fire steak was actually really good, this time -- just bit cold because I had to go back to...
