Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Amarillo

I have been going to this location awhile, because this is the closest to where I live. I would say every other visit there is something wrong with our food. I normally shrug it off, but the visit I had at 8:30pm on June 21st 2018 was the last straw. I ordered a take out order over the phone. It was quite simple 1 10" pizza, 1 flat bread, and 1 delux original meat and cheese only but add green bell pepper. The ladie on the phone asked what cheese I would like on the sandwich which is not normally an option seeing it normally comes with two different cheese's. We told her that we wanted what it normally came with the repeated that it should only be meat and cheese only add green bell pepper. When I arrived the sandwich had everything on it. I was not supprised but just asked for it to be fixed. The young man at the register decided to tell me that was how we ordered it. And handed me the receipt and told that was how it was on the receipt. As if the person that entered the order could not have possibly entered the order wrong. I asked him to fix it and it complied. I waited 10 min and was finally brought my sandwich. The sandwich was burnt and was not a delux had less meat than a normal original. But decided to leave with it anyway not ready to deal with the army of teenagers running a sandwhich shop. When we sat down to eat we discovered that instead of green bell pepper the put green onion on. This visit was very aggravating and will most likely be my last. Shame I really like that sandwhich but if it is never made correctly after explaining it to them 4 times I will take my business...

My girlfriend and I really love Schlotzsky's. Unfortunately, I can't currently recommend this location. Over the past 6 months at least half of our orders have been messed up. Usually it's related to them making a sandwich completely wrong or using an inadequate amount of ingredients. Every time it seems like the sandwiches are more "thrown together" than sandwiches I've gotten from other Schlotzsky's locations.

One of my favorite sandwiches is the Turkey Original; unfortunately, I've never gotten a Turkey Original from this location with the correct amount of black olives (unless I went back and asked them to fix it - in which case they did so very politely). This time was obviously no exception (see attached photo). In addition, my girlfriend and I both ordered the pick two deal - and it's obvious that instead of using the jalapeno cheddar bread that they were supposed to use on her sandwich - they just used the other half of my sourdough bun.

Normally when I have an issue with a restaurant I like to go to the restaurant first to give them a chance to make it right. I've already done so at least twice with this particular location. At this point I'm convinced that they either don't care to train their staff properly or are intentionally shorting their customers to save money. Either way it's unacceptable and not worth the money they are charging. Whether you're a long time Schlotzsky's fan, or a newcomer, I would certainly recommend going to a different location...

On 7-29-18 @ 6pm I went into an unusually slow Schlotzsky's. Greeted the cashier with a hi how are you and only got what can I get you in response. After clearly stating I wanted two Turkey Originals to go I proceeded to ask for certain items to be left off. I was told in an inpatient and snooty tone of voice that these sandwiches do not come with what we wished to be left off. I apologized and said oh my goodness we must have been ordering these wrong all the time. Again very impatiently and sarcastically I was told that she didn't know if the other cashiers had been too busy to bother to take the time to tell me this, but that she was informing me now. Then she proceeded to tell me all the ingredients for the Roasted Turkey sandwich not the Turkey Originals that I had actually ordered. I explained again which sandwiches I did want and was subjected to a listing of all their ingredients as well. I repeated the items I wished to be left off. And had to repeat this again as she was rolling her eyes and doing anything but paying attention. I waited quite some time for my order as well. As stated before it was not at all busy. A total of 5 people including me as customers. As I waited for my food the same cashier was seen walking around in the kitchen doing nothing. Then she did change out one small trash can,did not wash her hands, and proceeded to pick some food off the cook line and eat it inthe kitchen over...
