Gandolfo's New York Deli — Restaurant in American Fork

I've been eating at Gandolfo's for over 25 years, so I feel 100% confident in my rating. Each sandwich is an experience with taste bud overload. My favorite right now is the Urban Cowboy. As you take each bite, you taste the subtle hints of black pepper, a pinch of salt, mayo, and who knows or cares what else these sandwich wizards add, it is DELICIOUS! (BTW, ask them to add a few dashes of garlic powder for extra flavor).

BREAKFAST I have to talk about their breakfast sandwiches. For the love! Stop wasting your time and money buying the hot garbage offered up by Mc Donald's! Instead, try one of Gandolfo's mouth watering Polo Grounds which is bacon, 2 eggs, American cheese, salt and pepper, on a buttered Kaiser roll. Or if you're really hungry, order The Crew, sausage, bacon, 3 eggs, American cheese, salt and pepper, on a hero. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything at Gandolfo's. Finally, there's Gandolfo's owner Thad. I've known Thad for nearly 30 years. He's a man who is both caring and kind, and always service focused. But most importantly for this review... First of all, we love the sandwiches here especially the breakfast sandwiches nothing around here tastes like Gandolfos. BUT this review is to tell the amazing above and beyond customer service experience I had. If you haven’t had Gandolfo’s cake you’re missing out. Favorite light whipped mousse on a chocolate cake. I called to order a cake for my daughter’s birthday last minute because I had forgotten amongst wedding planning for another daughter. Tad answered and calmed my nerves saying he could have a cake ready by close that night! When I was late getting there after picking up family from the airport Tad waited and met after close so I could get the cake for our special occasion. I can’t even give this the proper words. He didn’t have to do any of it, but this was an amazing show of service above and beyond what a normal business would do. Thank you a million times over for reminding us of the goodness in the world and making this order feel like you cared personally! Amazing @gandolfos_bydeliboytad just amazing! This is a deli, not "fast food"... but with that said, they're the right amount of quick where I'm pleasantly surprised but not also checking to make sure the eggs in my breakfast sandwich were cooked thoroughly enough. In short, they'll cook it as fast as it will cook.

The nice thing is that they're totally accommodating to strange or different tastes. I like ordering the Manorville here, holding the Salt & Pepper and substituting either swiss cheese or cheddar cheese in lieu of the American cheese. Despite the higher quality of cheese being used, they charge me $0.00 extra. Nothin'. Also, the staff are genuine and kind people, who work hard for their customers. The owner is often working in the deli as well, showing that you can lead the charge from the front. He is patient, kind, and very appreciative of business coming through. The quality of their deli meats and cheeses is superb, and I'm always pleased with my food when I order here.
