Sushi Garden Bistro — Restaurant in American Fork

My husband and I came here after seeing the great reviews on Friday night at 7:30. We expected to wait a bit, since that tends to be the busiest time for dinner. We were seated immediately so that was great. But after we ordered, it took them half an hour to bring out our appetizer and another 15 minutes after that to bring out the first of our 4 rolls. Then we watched as they brought out food for people who came before and after us. It didn't seem like they had any system for sending out the orders that were coming in. None of the waitresses were following up with any of the customers either, and we had to wait and flag down someone just to get a refill on our drinks. Then we finally got the other 3 rolls we ordered at 8:55. The food tasted fine, but two fell apart as we picked up the pieces of the rolls and one of the rolls (deep fried salmon) was cooked too long so the fish was actually cooked in the center of the roll, when it is supposed to be raw. Been here before and this review is for take out sushi. Of course giving a review without being able to “dine in” because of the whole quarantine COVID-19, I feel like I cannot give it a well rounded review, so I’m only giving the review based on the sushi quality and presentation alone. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, and if you’re in the mood for sushi but you don’t want to spend tons of money for it, this is your spot. I got the caterpillar roll, mama Mia roll, and black dragon roll. All three have pretty much these things in common: eel, cooked (nothing raw), and avocado. When I did phone my order in, I specified that I wanted extra wasabi and ginger, and they packed just that, which was wonderful. It tells me they pay attention to details in your order. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Service was awful. We came and were seated immediately since the place wasn’t full. Waited 15 minutes though for a waitress to finally come by. Placed our order and waited another 45 minutes. Saw other people get their food that had ordered after us. Finally went to get our waitress who never once stopped by, to ask if we were going to ever get our food. She said she would check. Came back and told us it would be another 20 minutes!! Almost 1 1/2 hour wait for food without any apology or update. We then asked why others that ordered after us had already gotten our food and what she was going to do about it. She told us she would just go ahead and cancel our order. Total shock. We left after 1 1/2 hours of waiting with no apology and no food. Will never...
