Headline: A Watery Disappointment.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying a smoothie that left me feeling incredibly underwhelmed. This concoction was nothing short of a watery disappointment, lacking the lusciousness and vibrancy one expects from a well-made smoothie.
From the very first sip, it became evident that something was amiss. The texture of the smoothie was incredibly thin and diluted, as if someone had mistakenly added an excessive amount of water instead of using a proper base ingredient. It lacked the icey thickness that make a smoothie enjoyable, resembling more of a sad juice than a satisfying blend.
The watery nature of the smoothie also had a negative impact on the overall flavor. It was as if the dilution had washed away any potential for richness or depth. The fruits that were supposedly included in the recipe were barely discernible, and their natural sweetness was overshadowed by the overwhelming taste of water. It was a disappointing reminder of what a smoothie should be but failed to deliver.
Presentation-wise, the smoothie did little to redeem itself. Instead of a vibrant and appetizing appearance, it looked insipid and unappetizing. The lack of body in the drink was reflected in its lackluster visual appeal. It failed to entice or excite, resembling more of a hastily thrown-together mixture rather than a thoughtfully crafted beverage.
Considering the underwhelming texture, lack of flavor, and uninspiring presentation, I cannot recommend this watered-down smoothie to anyone seeking a refreshing and enjoyable beverage. It fell far short of expectations and left me longing for a truly satisfying smoothie experience.
If you're in search of a drink that will truly invigorate your taste buds and provide a burst of flavor, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. There are countless smoothie options available that offer the richness, creaminess, and boldness of flavors that this particular drink sorely lacked. Don't settle for a watery disappointment when there are so many better alternatives out there.
Edit: Overviewing some previous reviews I would suggest going to another location. I've had Roxberry before several years ago. And I was satisfied with the...
Read moreI will probably never go to Roxberry again, specifically this location. I’ve been here many times before and had longer wait times, but this time was the worst. I went to the new and improved drive-thru line yesterday, and at the time I was the second car there. After ordering, I waited for maybe 5-7 minutes for the car in front of me to get their order. Then, when I pulled up to the window, I waited for a full 10 minutes before an employee even opened up the drive-thru window to acknowledge me. Y’all. 10 minutes? How long does it take to blend a smoothie? Meanwhile, I could see 4-5 more cars lining up behind me. The very least the employees could have done was open up the window when I pulled up and say “Hey, we’re a little backed up at the moment, but we’ll get your order out as quickly as we can!” I felt like I was silently being held hostage and from what I could see in the window, they didn’t seem to be bustling around, trying to finish orders. Honestly I should have just driven away. It took another 5 minutes after paying to get my order (just two smoothie bowls, nothing crazy). After all that, I’m just disappointed that I wasted so much time there—added up to being just under half an hour—and the prices across the menu certainly don’t justify it. Everything on the menu is too expensive for what you actually get. Maybe try a different smoothie shop if you’re craving...
Read moreI love getting smoothies and bowls here but I am very sick and tired of waiting so long for a smoothie… I used to work at Jamba Juice back in high school and I know what it takes to make a smoothie and get it out in efficient timing, we would have 3 min max. Roxberry makes me wait 15+ minutes. Today was very disappointing, I waited forever in line at the drive thru, someone came out to take my order on their tablet, which was fine, but made no sense at all cuz I ended up sitting at the menu speaker for several minutes eventually. I believe they had someone make my order and then let it sit while I was waiting in line. If they took my order early they should’ve just brought it out to me. My açaí bowl was completely melted, I was eating it with a spoon and it was like a soup, and the granola was starting to get soggy which I hate! Not to mention there were definitely some bites of blended up lime rind bc it was so bitter and I had to pull some pieces out of my mouth. I love this bowl and want to keep coming but I can’t stand the service here and then get disappointed with my...
