My boyfriend and I are gluten free, and we were looking for somewhere to grab breakfast. I found positive reviews for their gluten-free bread, and they DID NOT disappoint! We ordered 2 of the loaded bacon sandwiches, the bread was toasted to perfection, the bacon was nice and crispy, and they did not go little on the avocado! All flavors melted together beautifully, so much so we didn't have the chance to snap a photo before the sandwiches were gone🤣 Not to mention the pricing, it is very accommodating to those of us with dietary restrictions. You dont have to lose an arm and a leg here! 10/10 will be coming in regularly, and I can't wait to try all the other gluten-free goodies we got as well.

We stopped here because the restaurant had gluten free bread options for sandwiches. This place is a hidden gem. They bake almost everything from bread to sweets to dog treats in house. The menu is full of fresh sandwiches, egg breakfasts and soups. The staff are kind and the food was delicious. The tables provide a great location to eat and even get some work done. It seemed like many of the customers were regulars and the staff knew them by name, everyone was very kind.

Great service, great selection and FANTASTIC quality. My girlfriend and I came in late and we still had many options. We got a cinammon chocolate chip loaf, savory biscuit and scone. The staff were VERY engaging and helpful. My girlfriend also forgot to bring a mask, and was not comfortable going in without one and a staff member ran behind to get one for her. Awesome gem nestled in downtown Ames. Highly recommend! Go early if you can.

Being new to the Ames we thought this place looked amazing and it always smells so good! You walk in beautifully decorated smells amazing and a very interesting menu. We ordered two sandwiches to go and one of the most decadent looking cinnamon rolls I have ever seen in my life! There were two tables of four that came in after us that got served before us and one in fact it already left. When we finally got her order it was for us to eat there the bread by itself was good extremely dense very heavy. Not something I would ever recommend making a sandwich out of. The cinnamon roll looked and smelled so good it was like eating a brick! The frosting was really really amazing but that was about all it was heavy and very dense. Not somewhere I would ever recommend anyone to eat. I felt as everything I ate hit the bottom of my stomach and I weighed 40 lb more walking out than I did going in. They need to steer clear of sandwiches and cinnamon rolls whatsoever. Stick with what you know when you're good at make bread the bread is absolutely delicious for sandwiches you got to be crazy! They were dry sandwiches and then the heavy bread not a good combination at all sorry great harvest bakery but you can mix the cafe part. And way overpriced! Two sandwiches to drinks and one cinnamon...

I’ve visited this bakery a number of previous times and the food and service have always been top notch. Today it was a debacle. I’ll preface this by stating at the time we went in to get breakfast this morning the Ames Farmers Market was underway a block away with numerous options for food available. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, after waiting 20 minutes while watching four employees stand in the kitchen and talk to each other a nice older gentleman who was working asked us if we were still waiting. We said we were and he asked the employees what was taking so long. They made some weak excuse about a cheese steamer only allowing two slices at a time to be processed. After another ten minutes of waiting the older gentleman again asked the crew what was going on. At that point they started to make our sandwiches. 2-3 minutes later they were delivered out to us and they were ice cold. I returned the sandwiches to the counter and left. Judging by the laughs and comments being made by the staff as we walked out it was clear they are only there to socialize and collect a paycheck. Extremely disappointing, will not...
