Humble Donuts — Restaurant in Ames

Visited location on 01/03 and was told upon entering that donuts would be 25-30 minutes as she was the only employee working. There was one customer in the store. We were in a little hurry so we decided to visit the next day. I arrived Saturday morning around 9:30 am. Entering the store there was a gentleman working on a vehicle out front and a lady, seemingly, sleeping on a bench inside the front door. I approached the counter, but no one was in sight. I waited, still no one. The ‘mechanic’ entered and mentioned to the sleeping lady that she had a customer. The lady rose from her slumber and I couldn’t tell if she actually worked there or not as she didn’t even acknowledge my presence. Not sure how the donuts are, but I might stop by the next time I need...

Happened to see the words HOT DONUTS on the door of this place as I was taking my kid to GameStop. We went back over when we were done there and checked it out. So first off; there was a woman named Gretchen working, she's the manager, I think. She was super warm and uber friendly to me and my kid. Having never been there before I wasn't sure what to expect but she made it tremendous fun to figure out. They're super open to samples of both the froyo and the tiny donuts. And let me tell you, there are plenty of flavors of BOTH. Everything about the trip was extra extra. I will 💯 be going back with more members of my family cuz it was too...

These donuts are delicious! I don’t want donuts from anywhere else 😍 they are small enough to enjoy many and different flavors as well. The pricing felt reasonable and it’s a cute place to go on a date or out with friends too :) I have had amazing experiences with the two employees I have met. Someone even gave me a sample donut for my husband and I which made my day. I recently read a review from someone who claimed these donuts were “greasy fatty balls” … this made me upset because where are you going to find healthy donuts? Lol no. These guys are doing an amazing job. The donuts are fresh and finger...
