On 8th Aug 2023, I went to the Subway around 8:50pm. I live in 20th St & I regularly buy footlong sandwiches whenever I go there to get my gas at Casey's. I always order Italian herbs & cheese & today for the first time I wanted to try a different bread. I saw the list of different bread names & I wanted to associate the names of bread to its appearance. I politely requested the Subway worker Lindsey(she said her name was Lindsey) to point the different breads to me and say the name. So that I could associate the different names of the bread to its appearance. Lindsey would NOT even let me finish my sentence- "Can you point out the bread and say their names?" Lindsey did NOT even greet me. Lindsey snapped & yelled that no other customer has ever asked which bread is what. Wow! I did not know that Subway expects all customers to memorize the Subway menu from top to bottom. Lindsey kept interrupting me. I tried telling Lindsey to calm down & to give me the time to speak as I've a speech impediment. Lindsey snapped & bizarrely accused me of not wanting to buy food. I had my card and Subway coupon & I made several purchases at this store. Why wouldn't I make a purchase? Actually it was Lindsey who was in a rush and didn't want to serve me. It was very late at night and I was alone in the store. I felt very threatened by Lindsey's dysregulation, rude, arrogant and entitled behavior. All I have asked from her is to point the different breads and say their name. But Lindsey had an outburst because I made a simple request. Eventually I ordered two footlong Italian Herbs & cheese....& tried explaining Lindsey to calm down and not to interrupt. But Lindsey kept on interrupting. I eventually had to tell her that she really needs to see a therapist. Lindsey refused to serve me 2 footlong Italian herbs & cheese. I requested to speak with the manager, but no manager was there. I asked for her name as she did not have a name ID. She said her name was Lindsey. Never in my life I walked out of the store without buying anything. Read moreI walked into the store with 3 people already in line ordering a sub. As I glanced around the store I noticed ONE employee working. I noticed another employee sweeping the lobby-great it's getting cleaned... but what about the now 5 people standing in line waiting for a sub? The other employee I noticed was sitting in a booth either doodling or talking/distracting the working employee making sub. So that's 3 employees that I saw right off the bat working on the clock. Well.... another 2 people walk in making it SEVEN people waiting in line and the lady sitting st the booth called for a worker in the back to help. I couldnt believe my eyes. The lady sitting at the booth was the MANAGER!? She neglected to stand up and actually work towards getting the sandwiches made and served to paying customers.... instead she yelled for help and then sat there and watched her employees make the sandwiches (some that were not properly trained and had to stop throughout the sandwich making process to ask questions) I mean I actually felt bad for that one young working hard man who had to WORK while the three other girl employees, the manager included, sat there and did nothing. Read moreOn Friday Sept 23rd (earlier today between 1pm -1:30pm), There was a female worker by the name of "Lila" I believe, who finish the last part of my sandwich. My food was made correctly. However she was EXTREMELY rude when asking what condiments I wanted and kept rushing me as if I was purposely holding up the line. Her tone was very passive aggressive. And I didn't appreciate it considering I was nice to her. When paying for my food I commented on her attitude to her bigger co-worker trying to show empathy naturally assuming she was having a bad day. And she was also dismissive and ignored me while giving me the default "have a nice day line" to get me out of line. Again my food was Ok. But I'm really considering if I'll ever return there in the future if I'm going to be treated like that. The guy with the beard was Ok. And didn't give any condescending, rude, mean, dismissive or passive aggressive interaction during our encounter. Just the other two. Hence why I only gave 2 stars instead of one. They're gonna end up being rude to the wrong person one day if they remain employed. The world is negative...
