We happened by this place downtown today. They just opened a week ago. The desserts were delicious - we tried about 5 or 6 different things. Everything is made with real, quality ingredients like butter, eggs, cream, etc. The chocolate cream puffs were delightful, the egg tart (with the puff crust) and the cannelle were rich and perfectly made. The baker’s skill is really on show here. The owner is also one of the friendliest sweetest people. She has some traditional Asian flavors in addition to the more European style treats, too, and every single thing is made from scratch.

The shop is small, so it’s more of a grab and go place than somewhere you hang out. Some drinks, like maybe a really rich hot chocolate, would be a great addition for the winter season (if Ya-Ling is...

Location: Downtown. Close to UMass. Really convenient place.

Service: the woman there is really sweet and nice. She explains everything about her products with a smile. Also, you can ask for things out of the menu. I bet she can do anything and everything she wants. She's a skillful worker!

Food: What to say? A gust of sweet fresh air! We need places like this, that dare to offer new products, flavors, textures... Moreover, the pastries in here are not sweet to the point of fearing cavities (something that worries me about regular/ standard US made sweets). Also, I do love taro and pasteis de nata, strongly recommend them! The matcha cake was soft andtender as a...

Definitely the top bakery in Amherst! I ordered a taro birthday cake here (even though it wasn’t on the menu. I casually mentioned to my friend that I wanted taro flavor, and Yali (the owner) overheard and said, “I can make it for you if you want!” That cake seriously made my day. It was incredibly delicious—the cream was high quality, and the cake itself was smooth and melt-in-your-mouth. Since then my friends and I have become regulars. We’ve tried the puffs, crepe cakes, red velvet cake… so many types of desserts, and every single one has been amazing. (Highly recommend the puffs!) Yali is so kind and truly passionate about baking. Love this...

Lovely new bakery in Amherst Center. I would describe the pastries as delicate. On the airy side; not overpowering or rich Chocolate Cream puff and Lemon tart were our favorites. You could tell everything was made with care and concentration. One of the layer cakes was like nothing I had eaten before, and I feel it’s rare to have experiences like that with food. I had to stop and think about what I was tasting and how it had been crafted. I wasn’t sure what one of the pastries might taste like, and the sweet owner gave it to us on the house as we were leaving. The cannelé is a must try!
