Five Guys — Restaurant in Ammon

Lengend tells of a burger serving restaurant that is suitable for the gods. Burgers there were said to be beyond one’s wildest imagination. Months I waited, knowing that I would be graced with the opportunity to go and see if this legend was fact or myth. I had never seen a place look so busy. People filled the building patiently waiting to order. I continued my pilgrimage to the counter. Despite the line being long, it moved at a pace I deemed suitable should the food be as good as I had been told. The order I dictated was recorded with accuracy and cheerful service. I then watched the 13 titans in red shirts prepare burger after burger. Each one performed their duty with exactness. The concourses of people continued to flood the establishment but they worked seemingly unfazed. Finally my burger was prepared and one of the great burger Titians handed my my simple brown bag. The humility in that bag betrayed the ambrosia that sat within. Sure only a burger that was above all else would have the humility to come this me without pomp. It’s value shown solely in its masterly crafted elegance and great taste. Upon my first bite, I knew this was the King of all Burgers. My pupils dialated and I felt myself transcend all. The enlightenment I received was nearly magical. When my stupor ended, I noted the fries, loyal to their king, also in the bag. This King of Burgers had brought with it an army of fries that I didn’t think I would be able to consume in their entirety. Although, I was no champion (for surely only a champion could eat them all) I went after the many fires until I could eat no more.

The legend was true, all of it.

• original review, 1 star* Food was delicious as always! How it was prepared, however, was totally unprofessional. I watched as workers threw bits of food from across the kitchen at the milkshake station, trying to land them in the milkshake being made so the worker there would have to start over. On the other side of the kitchen, a worker was slamming cheese on to the grill with excessive force, I think he might have been trying for some sort of record. I enjoy a happy and fun workplace, but please don't have fun with my food while I am waiting. To the worker slightly dancing to the music while working, I applaud your attitude and ability to enjoy your work. That is awesome. To the workers throwing food, I was not the only customer watching and you risk losing returning customers with your behavior.

5 Guys, in general, is fantastic! Lately, however, everything is super unorganized with management. Tyler left in the middle of a big rush to go to the bathroom and was gone for a good 10-15 mins at least. The ingredients for the milkshake machine ran out and I had to wait longer for my refund than I did for my food. By the time Tyler finally came back all the other employees were telling him to help us because we had waited so long and he said he didn’t want to open the other register, so we had to wait even longer while new people were ordering. I want to clarify that all the other employees were very nice and helpful, but Tyler, the MANAGER, randomly disappeared during a huge rush and then told me that he didn’t know of any way to get a hold of his manager.
