As a newcomer to Anacortes, I’m still getting aquatinted with this small town. A year has come and gone and it seems I still find myself googling businesses in time of need. This time it happened to be “who in Anacortes does conversions from VHS tapes to Flash-drives”? Not only was, How it Works, quick to reply after my inquiry email but they were sensitive to the history behind my “why”. After your loved ones pass away, especially before Facebook and fancy handheld devices, the ability to capture memories and moments was done differently. One of those being VHS. I have one VHS tape of our loved one who passed in 2005. And though it’s not the best quality or very long, the matter of importance was not lost. I was able to; swing by unannounced and drop off my VHS. I also bought two flash drives from Walgreens and dropped those off as well. Within a week, they were calling me to say everything was ready. I have to admit, the end product is better than the original. Price was $10 per conversion and I paid for the flash drives. Small price to pay to have a voice you can’t hear in person any longer.
