Food was decent. Experience was horrible, and definitely ruined the overall disneyland experience. I came back from a deployment and me and my wife planned to take our kids and my mother to Disneyland. Me and my oldest share a Birthday one day apart and this was a special trip. We use our Disney credit to order food from this place and it looked great.
I go to pickup up the first two trays and was told I could come back for the rest. Instead I wait behind others waiting to pickup their order. They avoided eye contact with me and I decided to just wait my turn. I take the third tray back to my little ones so they had drinks with their kids meals. They began to eat so we can catch the firework show on our last day. My wife says we are short a adult beverage. I return and have to wait in line to request our missing order. I wait another ten minutes, by now over 30 minutes has elapsed. They stall and eventually call "Joohong" the manager over.
His explanation is that I waited over 30 minutes and they have to handle our orders with alcohol differently. He said I could take it up with their customer department or wait for a refund in which I would have to wait for. My kids are now 5 minutes away from missing a once in a lifetime type show, instead I just let it go. Not a huge deal, but I paid 16 dollars for a drink and got made to look stupid in front of everyone. I was respectful throughout the engagement. I just asked I was being irrational to request something I paid for and waited for. Before that moment, I had not had a sip of alcohol in months, just wanted to enjoy one drink with my wife on my birthday before we took our kids to see a light show. I paid over 160 dollars for food, luckily my kids were able to eat. I took a few bites and tossed my order. In the end, I didn't want to hurt my kids experience and I just let it go. I lost any respect for that establishment or Disneyland.
His lead gave me the managers name, after initially saying they dont give out that info. Throughout the whole experience they were dismissive. I come back to ask for straws for my kids drinks, and they tell me to walk to the Cafe where they have straws for us. Pay thousands of dollars to leave that place on a bad note. Very memorable experience, as in negative. I'll never forget it and make sure to tell others. I waited for 10 minutes behind the glass as the crew talked about me and looked at me like I was crazy for requesting the order. She asked me for my receipt for my mobile order. I used the mobile app and she acted like it was my fault. He was able to look the hero in front of his crew by dismissing a customer who paid sixteen dollars for a beer with...

After staying over 12 hours in the park with minimal sitting time, the last thing you want to do is eat bad food. I am so glad that I ate at Cucina Cucamonga instead of anywhere else for dinner when visiting the parks. The tables were admittedly slightly dirty and there were too many people, but having some great Mexican food with live music in the distance was a great recharge. If you order at the restaurant, you start at a line and then they will tell you to wait at a window, and will bring out your food. Service was snappy and they were happy to give me some extra onion and cilantro on the side.
QuesaBirria: 5/5 This rating may be high because of all the meh food I ate that day, but wow Disney did this dish justice. The cheese was flavorful and perfectly melted while the birria was tender and succulent. While the consommé was not clear, it was packed with flavor and comfortingly warm. This may be the best dish in Disney, so don’t miss out. Like I mentioned earlier, make sure to ask for some extra onions and cilantro to put into your taco and soup. This is a must-get if you are in California Adventure.
Horchata Agua Fresca: 5/5 Again, Disney knocks it out of the park. I am so sad that I totally forgot to snap a pic, but you’re not missing out on much visually. Refreshing, rich, and calming are the words I would use to describe this drink. It is smooth while having a slight grittiness from the rice and has a distinct fresh flavor that sets it apart from other horchatas. This too may be one of the best drinks here....
Read moreTried out Cocina Cucamonga in California Adventure and I was honestly surprised at how good the quesabirria tacos were. Like really good. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and the beef had such solid flavor. The consume was also fire and definitely needed to bring it all together. I cleared the whole plate in no time and would highly recommend getting them if you are in the park. Now on the other hand, the Tacos Dorados De Papa were not it. They had almost no flavor at all. Yeah they had some crunch, but that was really it. I ended up dipping them in the consume just to give them something. Would not get those again. Same with the corn elote. The flavor was honestly just off. It had some kind of Asian twist with furikake and it just did not make sense to me. Not my thing at all. The highlight outside of the tacos was the strawberry horchata. I was worried it would taste like strawberry milk, but it actually had a really good authentic horchata flavor with just a light strawberry touch. It was refreshing and paired perfectly with the birria tacos. Also cannot complain about being in California Adventure. The views, the energy, the people around you. Everything just hits different when you are eating good food in that kind of setting. Stick with the birria tacos and that horchata and...
