I ordered take out tonight from the Anderson location. First of all, I couldn't even find their menu online. It was very difficult to find their website and after several searches I finally found it.
I was disappointed in the menu selection. Many other mexican restaurants in the area and surrounding neighborhoods have much more extensive menus and give you more food for the same price.
I ordered the enchiladas tapatias, which was supposed to be one each of bean, beef, cheese, chicken, and pork. I asked the girl who took my order to please substitute a cheese enchilada for the pork as I cannot eat pork. So that order would be two cheese, one beef, one chicken, and one bean enchilada.
When i got to the restaurant to pick up my order she rang me up and directed me to my bag of food (which was sitting at the bottom of the window sill in the waiting area-very strange place to leave a customers order..). I briefly checked the bag to make sure they got everything and noticed that my order didnt look right. They had given me 5 cheese enchiladas. So I politely let her know and asked to wait at the bar while they prepared the correct food that I had ordered. She spoke in another language to the bartender about it and then hurried of to the kitchen. A few minutes later she came out with my box of food, which had a foggy lid from the steam, but looked like a few enchiladas. I thanked her and drove home.
I got home to find that the extra container of enchalidas she had given me was 2 chicken ones..... So not only did they mess up once, but they failed to even get it right the second time. By that time I was so hungry I couldn't bring myself to drive all the way back up there. I am very disappointed in this situation and I do not feel like what I ordered was complicated AT ALL. I mean, come on, all I wanted was a cheese enchilada instead of the pork one. The rest of the order should have matched exactly what was on the menu and there should not have been such difficulty getting it right. And not only that, but the "salad" aka lettuce they had given me to put on top of my enchilads was all watery and shriveled up-completely gross. I received maybe a TEASPOON of tomatoes and guacamole. It also did not come with any rice or beans, which enchilada orders typically come with at all other mexican restaurants I have eaten at .
So yeah, the next time you are craving Mexican, I suggest you go...
Read moreWe went soon after they first opened, so we figured there would be some issues (took a long time for a server to come get our drink order, then again took awhile to get our dinner orders. They brought my wife the wrong dish. They took it off of our bill, but again, it took a long time to get our check. The restaurant was by no means busy at this time. As I said, we expected some bumps, and they didn't charge us for my wife's meal. We figured we'd give them some time to find their groove and come back. We gave it a couple of months and went back last night. We ordered a couple of appetizer (wings and queso) with our drink order. The queso came out with the drinks, but no sign of the wings. The server took our order. I order carne asada tacos with double rice and a side of shredded cheese. My wife ordered the pollo supremo. We snacked on the chips and they were stale. Our dinners came (along with the wings). I had to take our son to the restroom, so I wasn't at the table when they were brought to the table. First, they brought rice and refried beans instead of double rice, and there was no cheese. I am not sure what kind of tortillas they were, but they were doggy and an odd brownish coler. They were inside a piece of folded over foil, so when I opened the foil, we were all taken aback by the color. I picked one up and took a bite, and there was definitely something wrong with the tortillas, and the steak was really dried out. Someone stopped by the table asking how things were. I explained that I was supposed to have double rice and cheese, and I asked about the tortillas and they acted like that was how they were supposed to look. My wife gave me her tortillas since she wasn't using them. Again, it took about 20 minutes after they cleared our table to bring the check. We were pretty disappointed. I am not sure...
Read morePlaced a carryout order. That was difficult for no apparent reason... long pauses before she answered my simple questions, etc. I got there, and parking lot was being re-paved. I called to ask her if I could still get in to pick up order, or were they bringing it out to us, thank you Covid..and she said "Of course you can.."..like why would you ask such a thing? I go in, get my stuff..which was supposed to be a dinner portion chicken beef taco salad with pico. I paid $11.48 for a taco salad with a few small shredded pieces of bland boiled chicken, maybe 2 tablespoons of runny ground beef and beans..barely any lettuce or cheese...and NO pico..just a blah tasting guacamole I didn't ask for, and sour cream. If this was dinner portion, I hate to see the lunch. I looked at the yellow kitchen ticket..and it didn't appear to indicate a lunch/dinner specification. So I called...got the same girl..asked her name, and she said "Why?" Unblvble. I said I just wanted to address you properly..can I speak to the manager..? "Well what is this about?" She asked rudely..! More incredulity. I told her my salad looks pretty pitiful and there is no pico..can't see any beef..and then..she says "hold on"..and proceeds to talk to several people in Spanglish, not putting me on hold.. hear the words pico, complaint, lunch dinner...and this went on for 2 minutes. I hung up.
Can you guess where I will not be going...
