Leyla Mediterranean definitely deserves the five star rating! The service was outstanding! The surrounding was authentic and took me away to a whole different part of the world. When I arrived the outside presented well and I was welcomed with roses and beautiful flowers as I walked up the walkway and into the door. There was handicapped accessible parking and parking for everyone is fairly easy and close. They have the option of booths or tables and you can remove chairs if you need to for a wheelchair or a high chair. The Establishment does have high chairs if needed. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were covered with cloth tablecloths that are removed after each guest and replace with clean ones. They do have alcohol to sip on if you desire. There are appetizers main entries side dishes and dessert. The Baklava was amazing! The dishes that were brought out that I had ordered were superb and very elegant in sight and flavor and of course the aroma oh so good! I savored each bite as I have never had this type of food before and I definitely suggest it for someone looking to try something new or have a very nice date with someone or celebration or even just to go on your own and sip a nice hot tea or coffee while reading a book. Yes I said while reading a book. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better I found out that they have a library that they let their customers borrow books from and when you're done you just replace them! Who does that!? Wow I'm impressed! There is an option to eat outside with a beautiful scenery. Roses and beautiful flowers plants and even a fountain! The place is wonderful and every person I saw working there actually so beautiful inside and even more beautiful at heart. I felt so welcome and I can't wait to...
Read moreI have eaten here twice. The establishment is clean and well-maintained. Indoor seating is intimate - outdoor seating is pleasant, with hanging baskets of colorful flowers and a pleasant fountain. The menu is full of examples of Greek and Turkish cuisine, and the beer and wine selections are good for its size, including Greek, Turkish and Lebanese items. Heavy flatware and cloth napkins are set at each place. The spinach borek is my go-to appetizer: the phyllo dough is light and crisp, and the feta-and-spinach filling has a delicate flavor - the yogurt/cucumber sauce with which it is served tastes cool and fresh. Depending on the order, a round pull-apart bread with an olive-oil dip may be served - this is also very tasty. The salads were generous in size, and all of the ingredients were fresh and firm. The Mixed Grill for 2 consisted of a selection of meats and chicken on a bed of rice with diced vegetables. All of the meats were perfectly spiced and cooked, and all were delicious either with or without another yogurt-based dipping sauce that accompanied them. The baklava was made by the hostess herself and served with a line of whipped cream between each piece - the phyllo dough was not crisp as most that I have had, but the freshness was evident in the flavor. I had helped her with a minor issue just before we were served, and she generously provided glasses of aromatic tea, which was the perfect dessert accompaniment. If you're in the area, consider dining here - it is a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants nearby, but the cost is well worth the quality and flavors that you...
Read moreI walked into this place with NO expectations after trying a few Turkish restaurants in Cincinnati that totally disappointed me in the past. I had very low expectations of this place. However, I was BLOWN AWAY! The cook doesn’t cut corners when it comes to cooking, they showed up to work ready to serve the best quality, and it shows. I’m completely blown away and impressed by the level of authenticity of this place!! The food is a 20 out of 10 internationally for a specialty mixed grill!!! Perfect amount of salt, perfect tenderness, it’s not dry like other restaurants, and I’ve had the worst around Cincinnati lol The yogurt drink is the authentic middle eastern flavor of yogurt, which was shocking, the sourness and the kick in the drink is something I couldn’t find anywhere else, hands down best yogurt drink! The tea looks imported, very fragrant and fresh, not too light, and not too dark. I ordered the Kibbeh and I expected to get JUST kibbeh, but they served us a huge bowl of salad, seasoned nicely, and the authentic yogurt dip, i can’t speak enough about the consistency of the yogurt dip, it was perfect! Everything tasted fresh, you can tell they wash their produce before they serve it. The place is so cozy and clean, i loved the ambiance! And the patio area is so cute ☺️
Overall, I can’t stress enough how impressed I am by the high quality of food served here, totally recommend this place. it’s real authentic Kurdish food. Definitely going back to try...
