Update 12/14/24: went again, and it was great. Busy but not ignored food was great! UPDATE:Went again tonight. All my food was good. My waitress i felt definitely ignored our table, besides this I did notice bathrooms were cleaner it again was a week night and busy, but not busy enough to ignore our table out of her rest.*We dined in for my birthday, it was on a Tuesday. Going to be honest here. OUTBACK wasn't my 1st choice or my second, due to distance. I won't mention the 2 other steakhouses cause they do compete with outback. When I called these other 2 restaurants we were asking if we could reserve/ how long of a wait time to be seated. The 1st place said at 2 in the afternoon that they had already booked up their reservations but we could still call back later to see wait time. We waited till around 630pm and called again and asked if any reservations had been cancellled(no) how long was the wait? 55-90 min. Called second place they also said they didn't take reservations and the wait at that time was an hour. We considered driving a little further if OUTBACKS wait time was shorter. We call. Nice girl answers, we ask if we need reservations, nope, how long is the wait, she says actually have hardly anything going on right now. So there shouldn't be a wait at all. Well we end up at OUTBACK in Anderson on 5 mile rd. It wasn't busy at all but its a Tuesday so I dint expect anywhere to be busy anyway. Right away we were seated and had drinks. The waitress was super. She made sure all our food came out when it was supposed to. Instead moat places will bring your appetizers and your salads then ten min later your hit with main course. Not them. Let us enjoy our drinks she put in the app and told us she wouldn t put out food in till after she got me my salad so it didn't all come like back to back. I didn't feel rushed. All the food was perfect. Drinks were great!! My only complaint was the bathrooms. Thats why I gave it 4 stars. I noticed too many cobwebs in the corners of bathroom and hand and footprints in bathroom stall walls. There wasn't any toilet paper in my stall either. Or any paper towels in the dispenser I had to get the to from the next stall. Good thing they weren't busy for someone to see me!! But besides that everyone told me happy bday everyone welcomed us and told us goodbye and to come back. Id rather go somewhere thats not packed with people or where the staff is short and so busy they can't concentrate on me and the money I'm spending. They followed all ppp they...

The sad thing is, when you see this, it'll be to late! I'm so sorry you had to go thru that.
Stopped at the Outback on Five Mile. Haven't been to an Outback in a while, and now I know why.
Wife and I ordered the Steak and Chooks combo, after we sat nearly 20 mins and was getting ready to leave. Should went with my gut, because it took another 10 mins to get drinks, by a different server, and another 30 mins to get salads, by yet a different server.
About an hour later, our steaks were set on the table by our server, who promptly ran off. Wife's steak was overcooked (mine was to, but I aw the writing on the wall and decided I'd just eat it). Tried to get servers attention, but he was nowhere to be found. Finally get another server to have our server come see us. Server looks at his tablet, says that there's nothing wrong with the steak, she ordered it well done. yeah, no she didn't, she ordered hers medium, mine was medium well. Server wanted to take entire plate, I told him go get a small plate, and let her eat her Chooks and potato. He acted like that was a problem, but got a smaller plate and vanished with her steak. BTW, asked for refills on drinks at this time as well. Guess what never happened.
45 mins later, we both have eaten our dinners (or what we were left with) and still no steak. A manager finally come out with the steak, and its rare. Seriously, 45 mins to bring a raw piece a meat? Of course the manager didn't stick around, she vanished right away.
We find a carry out container and box up the steak and decide to leave. Can't find the server anywhere.
Finally get up and do a walk around and find the manager that brought steak. Tell her I want a bill and I want to leave. She asks if everything was okay, I told it wasn't. Told her about the food, about the service, no refills, and how we don't like being treated like we were bothering them. You do what you want to do, I'll...
Read moreI have probably been to 15 different Outback's( probably 30 or so total visits) over the years and almost always get the prime rib or ribeye. This was the only negative experience I have endured. My wife got the filet and lobster tail with the filet being medium. Her filet came back between medium- rare and rare. I ordered the 16oz prime rib medium-rare and it came back between medium and medium-well and I would estimate closer to a 12 ounce than a 16oz. I normally wouldn't send them back, but since my wife won't eat medium rare or rare, it was getting sent back regardless and I chose to have a new prime rib cooked. My wife's filet came back medium and the new prime rib that they sent me was closer to a 16oz(but probably closer to 14oz) and it was a little over-cooked and definitely medium, which I was willing to grin and bare it. However, it was the most bland prime rib I have ever tried to consume. I ate 3 bites and decided I would just take it home for our dogs to eat. I am not one to complain or ask for a discount or anything, so I just let my displeasure be known through my facial expression. I expected my server to take a little off our bill or something or maybe have the manager come and apologize, but no such thing happened. I am really disappointed in this particular Outback location and glad that all the rest I have been to have been good experiences. The only positive thing I can say was the blooming shrimp we got for an appetizer for the first...
