I was really excited to go out to dinner with my family for Mother’s Day. Today was my scheduled day to work in the Emergency Dept and I was lucky enough to get another nurse to cover half of my shift so I could have a nice dinner with my husband and kids. Unfortunately with the busy dinner service our food took forever to get to the table. I honestly wasn’t mad at the wait, after all it is Mother’s Day. I asked for a surf and turf; lobster pie with steak tips. The French fries were delicious, the lobster pie was good and the one steak tip I could eat was delicious. The other steak tips were literally Moo-ing on my plate. The were so raw not even my husband would eat them and he’s a huge steak fan. I order mine medium taking into account that by the time it arrives on the table it will be a medium well as I don’t like my red meat under done (not a true steak fan, I know). I was just frustrated that when presented to the waitress the response was “We can throw it back on the grill for you”. I waited forever the first time around with 2 screaming children the last thing I wanted to do was wait again. I worked in the industry prior to my career and usually we just comp’d a drink or gave a free dessert. I didn’t expect the meal to get comp’d by any means just wanted to be validated. A hey sorry about your steak from a manager would’ve been nice. This isn’t a ding on the waitress by any means, she was doing her job and I’m sure she was under a ton of stress. Just upset that my meal wasn’t what I...
Read morehere's my HONEST review. I would never in my life recommend this place. Google reviews gave it 4.5 but I wouldn't give it a single star and here's why....
when i first walked in, the place was dark dingy & dirty. dust everywhere. sat down because we haven't eaten all day & it did have good reviews.
appetizers of calamari & crab cakes. calamari was inedible mostly. marinara was basically water. no flavor. crab cakes were decent. this is the only good thing in this review.
all entrees came with fries, pilaf or baked potato. salad or veggies for additional fee. which is CRAZY to me since every dish needs a vegetable.
I got the swordfish with "house made" mango salsa and veggie medley (should've know when it says medley it's previously frozen). veggies were so bland and cooked unevenly. my swordfish was leaking water. again, ZERO seasoning. mango salsa was more like canned ingredients mixed together and called homemade. that too had no flavor.
my bf had a ribeye with veggies and son had steak tips with fries. no flavor. tips basically went uneaten. nothing we couldn't make at home for a fraction of the price and enjoyed it.
I literally feel sick after...
Read moreGreat place with GREAT food! Never a bad meal here. The PRICES are VERY REASONABLE, ESPECIALLY being in ANDOVER. Every meal is served with their own loaf of bread with a side of whipped butter. The Chicken pam. is one of my favorites and it's only 8.99 for lunch and 12.99 for dinner! The chic pam comes with linguini and a slice of garlic bread. I Usually take home a doggie bag, the chicken is a massive juicy piece coated and full of gooey cheese on top of a great tasting tomato sauce. The marinated steak tips are also great and a super bargin at 10.59 ! No need to put A-1 or anything else on them. There oh so delicious! They know how to cook them medium without over cooking them. Also try there rice. Its white rice with spinach and a light chicken like base stock. Much better than your average plain rice. Their crab meat pie is a great seafood dish to try too This restaurant has a full bar and a great variety of american dishes. A must try when eating in Andover. Every meal is great and the $ Prices...
