I have been going here since I was a baby, has always been my favorite. The egg rolls are great.
However, since they moved locations the food hasn't been the same. Still good just not the same.
I probably won't be back after my last visit. I ordered sesame chicken, my lunch go to. Food came, I put a couple pieces on my son's plate because he wanted some. Then went to take a bite, and I stopped. The piece I almost put in my mouth had a piece of metal on it. I got someone's attention they took it back to the kitchen. Our waitress then came out, said it was being remade. Then told me it was part of a sponge, but not to worry they threw it away. So it comes back out, I don't eat it. Then she asked if it was OK, after the rest of my family was done eating. I said I lost my appetite. So she took it back and removed the charge, for the food I didn't eat because of a dirt piece of metal from a sponge. My husband went to pay, the owners wife asked how it was. He said well mine was good, my wife isn't very happy. She then told him it was just part of a sponge. Just part of a sponge, part of a metal sponge in my food. The food I was sharing with my son.
I didn't get mad. I am disappointed. Telling me it was just part of a sponge doesn't make me feel better, there was dirty metal in my food.
For a place that has been around for over 30 yrs, I...
Read moreI don’t understand the negative reviews at all because my experience at this restaurant was exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff.
I ordered the Crab Rangoons and General Tso's chicken with white rice, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! The General Tso's chicken was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Tender slices of white meat stir-fried with a generous mix of broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, and black-skinned mushrooms—it packed a delightful punch of heat that left me wanting more.
The Crab Rangoons were equally delightful, perfectly crispy and accompanied by both sweet-and-sour sauce and spicy mustard. And to complement the meal, I enjoyed a cup of delicious jasmine tea.
The staff was not only friendly but also very attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. This restaurant has that old-school charm that's hard to find nowadays, making it a gem in the neighborhood.
I highly recommend this place to anyone craving Chinese cuisine served with a smile. Let's show some love to this neighborhood...
Read moreEverything was very good. We always got a very good server, I don't know what her name was, but she was very nice and very talkative. It seems like we always get her, which we have no problem with. When we first got there, (in the new restaurant, which is very nice) we got seated very quickly, and even better, we got a table with a lazy susan! Our server was out right away to get our drink orders, but took a little while to actually get our drinks out, this doesn't usually happen, but this was one of the opening days, and they were really busy. But that changed when she took our food order. The egg drop soup came our right away! (Egg drop soup is totally to die for) And then the egg rolls (also to die for) came out almost right after it! It was heaven on earth!! It was so good, I almost cried;) After we were done with the egg rolls, our meals came out. (I got cashew chicken which is AMAZING!) It was great and our bill was out right after. Whenever we do delivery, everything is piping hot and just as good as sit down. Service is excellent. Food is AMAZING. Atmosphere is fabulous. A must go...
