Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Ankeny

On July 3, 2019 I had ordered a large pepperoni pizza and 2 garlic knots for Delivery. Estimated time for delivery was 29-39 minutes. App showed status of packing up item for over an hour (probably why food was delivered “warm” and almost hard to chew as it sat on the warmer forever. I called after an hour of waiting only to be told it just left the store (my app changed status while I was on the phone for a later delivery), It took another 20 minutes plus for delivery. The garlic knots shriveled up and we’re of poor quality Like the large pizza. 90 minutes of waiting For horrible product. The delivery driver even stated it was ridiculous and asked me if I was sure I wanted to tip him for the situation(i did as i don’t believe it was his issue). Their corporate office offers me a “code” For a free large pizza. I told them no thanks, it’s a slap in the face. You can refund the order or I won’t be back. With options and choices here as Well as grub hub and door dash options, I can live without papa johns and a poor quality of food and delivery service just like I have lived with out Pizza Hut for the last...

To preface: I gave it a four star not because I have any problems with them, but rather because I've never visited the store, I have only gotten delivery. I ordered an XL 3 topping pizza: Double Pepperoni and bacon; with respect to the other places in town, the rices were actually good and they always seem to have some sort of special deal going on to make for decent prices. The order was placed somewhere around 4:27 and confirmed in under a minute, they quoted me a delivery time of „ Approximately 45-55 minutes,“ I was in my room watching T.V; thus, didn't hear the door and received a call at 4:51 saying „ Hi, this is so and so with Papa John's, I just arrived with your order.“ He was very polite and pleasant person with whom to deal. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1. Update: They got it right last week but today I order a N.Y. style and they gave me another hand tossed pizza so they are now 2 for 5 and getting the order correct. Unfortunately this time then girl that I spoke with insisted that she personally checked it and guarenteed the right pizza went out. She actually asked me what the difference was between them; eventually she transferred me to the actual manager who I texed a picture of the pizza and he knew right away that it was wrong ... they offered a free pizza but I'm probably not going to order from there anymore.
