WORST customer service experience ever!! I waited 20-30 mins in line for the drive thru. When it was finally my turn I sat and I waited and waited and watched the people in front of me paying and getting their food and driving away and I still sat there with no one ever coming on to greet me, no one told me to hold on, no one acknowledged we were there at all. After sitting there for 15 mins and the long line behind me honking and getting mad, I decided to drive up to the window to see what was going on. A girl came to the window and said they were short staffed and not able to help me so we needed to go back around and get back in line. I asked to talk with the manager and he said his name was Matt and he proceeded to tell me the same thing. I tried to explain if they would have just let us know what was going on and he cut me off and continued to tell me how he has 3 screens of ice cream and can’t take drive thru orders now and to go back and get in line. I was so shocked and disgusted as I have lived in Ankeny my whole life and have NEVER had this horrible of customer service EVER! He rattled off the 800 number to file a complaint and told me to file a complaint and that he didn’t care. Pulled in, pushed the red button, & waited to be helped. And waited. And waited. Other cars pulled in, were helped, and received their food. Eventually the screen said it had timed out and I needed to push the button again. So I did. Waited. Waited. Waited. Same thing.
Giving the benefit of the doubt, I moved my car over a couple spaces in case the call button was just faulty in the stall I was in. Nope. Pushed button, sat waiting, two cars pulled in and were helped and got their food and left so at that time I just pulled out and left.
On my way out, saw a drive through at the back of the building that had 3 cars in line. I was no longer in the mood to wait or that interested in trying the food, so I didn't attempt to get service that way. Went to Culver's and was through the line and on my way in 5 minutes.
Also, there was a sign on the public bathroom door that said it was just for employees at this time (presumably due to covid). Just a heads up for anyone wanting to stop there that...

Now that I read many of the reviews that are negative and say the same thing I have an obvious question. What the hell kind of company response is would you like us to forward feedback to the owner. If the owner actually cared in the least bit he would be responding to these issues. He would at least read them and tell us to screw off or whatever. Sad that poor customer service or in my case no customer service is just an acceptable outcome these days. It's always COVID or we can't hire people as an excuse. The real reason all places fail is poor management and owners. It's never because of the employees. Bad employees don't last with good management because they fire them. So please don't respond with your bogus copy and paste apology that simply proves you don't even read your reviews and therfore have no intention of correcting...
