Does nobody smell this place I literally had to leave because I was over taken by the smell of this nasty restaurant we went there based on the reviews and it just seems so bizarre we literally ordered our food and cannot get over the smell paid $20 and could not eat the food because could not get over the smell it has been two hours and it still won’t go away it needs to be updated I can’t believe the state regulations allow that place to be open in the form that it is I get that they want to keep it homely and the back in the day feel but there’s definitely a sanitation way of doing that. I would recommend it get shut down and re modeled that’s how disgusting it was I will never go back it’s one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever smelled. I also would not even give it one star I have to do that to do the review I’m letting you know that because...

Frank's is an nostalgic and inexpensive old favorite diner that has not changed in a half century. It is located right off the central U of M Campus - near Nickel's Arcade. We visited in August 2018 - and found the huge portions and low prices refreshing -- just about everything else in the area has become expensive and rather "chic" as Ann Arbor becomes more upscale. I remember Frank's back from my student days and nothing much has changed. It is a favorite hangout for the football team, we ended up sitting next to three players on the team who clearly were beefing up on the huge portions. Our bill for lunch for two including beverages, tax, and tip under $25.00. Highly recommended, even if you do not have memories that date back...

My family and I went to Franks for breakfast. The service was great, very friendly and able to answer questions regarding the menu. The restaurant itself seemed very dirty- the ceiling tiles, posters falling off of the walls, stains, etc. After deciding what to order, we were told by the waitress that they were out of sourdough bread, spinach, and a third vegetable I can't quite remember. I ended up getting an omlette, which was very large (as big as my plate) and delicious (I had plenty of leftovers for later that day). Overall, the food quality was great and exceeded my expectations, but the cleanliness of the restaurant would keep me...

I've wanted to try Franks for a while now. I door dashed the Franks famous French Toast, Western Omelet with cheese and a side of hash browns. The Omelet was perfect. It had lots of fillings, very cheesey, and a great sized portion. The hash browns were uninspiring unfortunately. I wished they were a little crispier and they need more salt. Now, the French Toast was the star of the show. Crispy exterior with a light doughy center, it was cooked perfectly. It's easily the best french toast I've had in Ann Abor. It's definitely worth going back.
