Real traditional roadhouse from the 1940s with 100% pine panel interior and long porch in front. This bar/restaurant was outside of town when it was built, between Ann Arbor and the village of East Ann Arbor on Packard Road. There is no East Ann Arbor any more and the "roadhouse" is now just in a neighborhood in the middle of town, but the architecture and the interior decoration still have a really neat casual woodsy on-the-road feel to them. The food here is pretty good, better than average for a bar. I've eaten here dozens of times over 35 years and never once been disappointed in the food. The service is consistently good. They serve as a team which is unusual but seems to work. You don't get a single person who keeps an eye on you, they all watch everything and everyone. Prices are good and they have a solid variety of craft beer available. I guess they have about 25 beers on tap at any given time and they change the offering constantly. They also have, in 2018 at the time of this review, a monthly special feature beer that comes in a very large glass for the same price as a pint of any of the...
Read moreYesterday was my first visit to Fraser's Pub. Met up with some friends from the office. My ordered was a Bloody Mary and southwest rolls. I really enjoyed the mix they used for the drink and a fresh pickle and olives for garnish. I've seen some sad garnishes in my days, Luckly that was not the case here. The Southwest rolls are just like "The Hard Rock Cafe", which are delicious. The best part was our server, she was quick, efficient, polite and patient. Even when the place started filling up and my friend was taking awhile to decide on her next drink. I notice in Michigan the servers are very good about asking a group if the bills are separate and not cause awkwardness between Co workers and act "bent out of shape" when the answer is ,yes. She also had this wonderful quality. She was so attentive she had kept our waters full without even making herself noticed or interrupting conversation. The type of service of an upscale posh establishment. And this, at a little pub. Brilliant... Thank you server: T T (that's all the receipts says, Don't know her actual name)...
Read moreWhenever I am staying in town, this is my go-to bar. If I want a quick bite, a drink, or watch a game, this is usually a good place to go to if it’s not terribly packed. I’ve seen their slow days and their packed and they do get it done. A lot of friendly servers even under pressure. Game days are super busy so if you’re thinking about going have a game plan. They have decent bar food and everything I have had so far was pretty good with decent prices to match. They also have a good amount of parking, I have never not found a spot but there are certain days where I felt like I came close. I like getting drinks here as well because they aren’t crazy expensive, but they will most likely have everything you need. It’s a big place so there is a lot of seating, those at the bar and a whole much more for bigger parties. They also host events here as well so if theres a little extra entertainment here and there, just as the staff. Everyone here has been welcoming and inviting so if you want something with a homely town vibe this could be a place...
