Panera Bread — Restaurant in Ann Arbor

This is my third and final time going to this panera. Never again. Im not one to leave reviews, especially on google, but the service of this panera has been so horrendous it must be done. About a month ago I placed an order for a chicken caesar salad with extra caesar sauce through their website for delivery which took an hour or more to get here (not their fault, but still I was waiting for a long time and excited for my caesar salad). When it finally arrived, they gave me fuji apple sauce , not caesar, and they didn’t even give me extra like I had asked (not that I wouldve wanted the extra fuji anyways, but still goes to show how they’re lacking). The next time I tried this place I picked up, and got a bbq chicken sandwich and chicken caesar salad. The bbq chicken sandwich literally had a long, blonde hair in it (my hair is afro textured and black, so there is NO way it was mine). Also, the chicken itself was very fatty and nasty looking. The salad I got that day barely had any chicken, probably like 2 slivers. Today was my last and final time trying because I had a $5 off promo, so I said why not. I went and got a frontega chicken sandwich and a regular caesar salad with extra caesar and croutons . The frontega sandwich is the first good thing Ive had from here, ever. But of course the salad was messed up. There was no extra croutons by any means, and the “extra caesar” they gave me was a complete scam. The cups were literally filled up 1/3 of the way each. I didnt even get a full cup of caesar when I put the two cups they gave me together. I dont know how hard it is to make an order correctly but apparently it’s above the workers here at this panera. Have been eating here every week for the past 3 semesters and have noticed a considerable decline in the quality of customer service. Was recently faced with a rude cashier that would not take accountability for her mistake and would talk back to me in addition to messing up my order. The past three times I have been here they have not given me the correct modifications to my order which I pay $4 extra…might seem like not a huge deal but when this is occurring time and time again it feels like I am getting cheated out and served by lazy and careless workers. Really disappointed to see the quality of this location decline to this extent. The managers are understanding but do not offer anything for the inconveniences. I walked in at 5:15 and was told there was a half hour wait. 40 minutes later when I had asked if it was ready, they told me they were in the process of making it. 10 minutes later I finally got my sandwich. I really do try to have patience for food service workers as I truly understand the pressure and understaffing that they often face. But the 45 minute wait was just too long, particularly when it was 1.5 times as long as I was told it would be.

Additionally, the staff just didn't seem rushed. Again, I totally support food service workers. But these people were just really slow workers and understaffed. They seemed burnt out and apathetic.
