Did the pull up for dinner at the pretzel bell tonight. I hadn't eaten there since befoe the pandemic so I was curious to see if the food was going to be good enough to put in the rotation. So we started with the fresh baked pretzel and it was delicious. The honey mustard went well with the golden brown crunchy and salty outside and the soft fluffy inside of the pretzel. However the cheese sauce that came with it was not good!! It was watery and just had a artificial cheese taste to it. Anyway, the pretzel was definitely the star of the meal tonight. For dinner I had the epic cornbeef and my wife had the fajita steak salad. Both dishes were just Mid to ok. Nothing special. I usually don't complain about prices but if I'm gonna pay $20 for a corn beef sandwich that's called "EPIC CORNBEEF " then I'm expecting a zingermans deli size ruben. Instead I got the downtown annarbor resturant size cornbeef sandwich Lol!. But to close this out I would say " if you want to go to a place with nice beer selection and good pub vive then you will like the pretzel bell.

First off, the decor is pretty cool. Lots of reclaimed wood and nice blue paint. The tables are scratched all over, but the waitress said it's on purpose and I could scratch too if I wanted to. The pretzel appetizer was VERY DELICIOUS, especially with the cheese dip. It was warm, salty, and very pretzel-y. The fries are the delicious battered kind: crispy on the outside, and so soft and gooey on the inside they're almost like mashed potatoes. My burger was pretty good, but honestly it was not super flavorful. For me though, the overall experience was definitely worth five stars.

Just went here for a beer, so can't speak much. But I enjoyed the patio! It was fully shaded at 5pm on a summer evening, rare for Ann Arbor. Happy hour is 4-6, half off drafts, signature cocktails, and appetizers. Definitely on my list to go back for dinner to check out the food. I was meeting up with a friend who doesn't eat shellfish and this place had a ton on the menu. Another bummer is the lack of N/A non-alcoholic options. They had two N/A beers, but no N/A cocktails. It'd be nice if at least one of their signature cocktails had a N/A spirit like Dhos or Seedlip.

I wanted to come here and make a review and I hardly make reviews but I had to tell everyone about our experience here at the pretzel bell! Which was phenomenal!! First me my husband and my almost 2 year are not from the area we are about an hour away and were going to the hands on children’s museum for the first time as first time parents. Before going to the pretzel bell we were having the worst time trying to navigate downtown and find a place to eat before going to the hands on museum, we went to 2 other places I will not name and was met with rudeness from both places that were next to each other so we immediately walked out. Mind you it was cold and snowing a little bit so we were worried for our little one. My husband mentioned this place from looking online and it was close to where we were, like I said we are not from the area so we didn’t know any of these places, so we decided to try it. And the moment we got there is was night and day compared to other places, right away we were greeted with a smile and kindness from the hostess who even opened the door for us, right away the atmosphere was amazing and exactly what we were looking for in the other restaurants, they were so kind and accommodating right away it immediately made us relax. We finally sit at our super cute booth, and our waitress brings our waters, then my daughter ended up spilling a whole cup of water all over me, to add to our already stressful time we were having, they were so kind and nice and quickly acted to help clean it up and bring us new ones. That finally sent me into tears because of the stressful day we were already having and we just wanted to find a nice warm place to have a meal, anyone with a small toddler knows the challenges that come along with a hungry cold toddler. So the water spilling was the last thing to send me over the edge, our waitress was so kind and helped us with anything we needed. She then surprised us with a free appetizer on her!! We had already ordered a few appetizers for us to share and we loved them all! We got the French onion soup and the pretzel to start. Our main corses came and again we all loved the food, everything was so good even down to our pops they tasted great! They even had free pads and tampons in the ladies bathrooms which I notice small things like that in places and I thought that was really great. From the moment we walked into the pretzel bell it was an amazing experience from the atmosphere, ambiance, food, and the kindness of the staff. We will 100% be back and probably make it our only stop for when we are in town! Thank you to everyone and our waitress at the pretzel bell for making our experience exactly what we needed after our very stressful time before hand. Our experience with them turned our whole day around and we were able to go to the hands on museum with a lighter heart! Please stop in and enjoy the amazing food...

Food was wonderful, host was great…. Not to sure what happened kind of hard to make assumptions and I love the fact that the manager was doing their job by following the law however I had to stop in Ann Arbor on my way back from Ohio, our car was acting really funny. Me and my husband stopped in here 4/24/22 to grab dinner and a drink. My birthday was 4 days prior I turned 29 years old…I had just paid for a new ID less than a year prior due to my last name change (issued: 5/4/21 expired: 4/20/22 not sure why I needed a new ID to begin with thanks State of Michigan). I left my charger in Ohio my phone was dead and my paper “proof” was not valid at the time do to my phone being dead and I do not have a printer. Waitress declines service of a alcoholic drink then advised me she was going to ask her manager, waitress comes back and states manager has declined me services of any alcoholic beverage. I am aware I “look” like I am 12 years old however the manager did not even come over to talk to me to look at my seven other proofs of identity…I am almost 30 years old, I own my own house, I pay my taxes, I have a six year old, I am married and two vehicles, no criminal record and believe the manager could of had at least came over and looked and acknowledged my “proof” (momma needed a birthday drink) keep in mind I am always the designated driver as well for any type of event and really just wanted to have fun. This managers actions would qualify as age discrimination 100 million times Thank you!!! for not showing this stressed out mother a good time, not only on my birthday weekend, but my husbands birthday weekend as well. Kindness and common decency goes...

When your name is 'The Pretzel Bell's one would expect a good pretzel, accompanied by yummy mustard and cheese sauce. Not so here. The pretzel is clearly straight outta a frozen package (I've made them at home, better), and the mustard and cheese on offer clearly came from Gordon Food Services. I should know, I've worked in the food service industry for over 20 years. Even better, my service was slow with my bartender completely forgetting to place my food order. To be fair and honest, he did take something off my bill to make up, but really? I'm a single diner sitting right in front of him. If you're looking for a fun night of good beers and bar food, this is not the right spot unless you appreciate frozen, pre-made, food, and lackluster sides and service. Even the beer list leaves something to be desired in the midst of many bars and restaurants that have unique house and local state craft brews on offer. With all the fantastic spots available in Ann Arbor, it surprises me that this place is doing a tidy business. Do yourself a favor and be classier than to subject yourself to inept service, and crappy food while visiting amazing...
