Chose this restaurant after looking at the reviews. Wow- this is the first time that i have witnessed a place that was so far off the rating! It is very dark wood and dimly lit old style bar setup- that part is fine just not a great setting for dinner. But the food was average at best. We had a larger group of 8 and a few dishes were passable (menu is somewhat limited). 3 of us ordered the chicken pesto pasta (relatively simple Italian dish so was looking forward to a good pesto) and the 3 chicken pesto dishes- which came out about 2 mins after all the others- were room temperature. The chicken was also very dry and cardboard like. My 18-year old som was starving so he went ahead and ate his- 2 of us sent ours back. After 15 mins the server came back (she was polite enough- but didn’t really care about the quality or ask if the second one she brought was better- which it wasn’t!) with the 2 new ones- the chicken was much fresher and actually warm- however the pasta was still room temp. The pesto sauce wasn’t great either. We will not venture here again- too many very nice places to eat in...

We went in after seeing the beautiful aesthetic of this bar, there were so many choices in the area, but we were really drawn in by the low lit vibe. Upon entering, the hostess was a young lady on her phone, so rude. Such a snotty woman. We walked in happily, and she was so annoyed, like a teenager being asked to take out the trash to seat us. It wasn't busy, but the waitress took forever to come by and talk to us. I understand that happens, but when she got back she wanted to take our order, but I didn't realize that the menu was a QR code, I didn't mind, I just didn't see it. No one told us, and the hostess didn't look at us or say a word to us when she took us to a table. The waitress had the same attitude as the hostess and acted disgusted that I didn't see the tiny qr code on the back of the drink special menu. It took her so long to come back that we decided to just leave. Honestly after seeing the other reviews I am glad we did. I almost ordered the $8 deviled eggs, 2 eggs cut in half. Over all horrible experience but it was very beautiful while...

We arrived halfway through happy hour and didn't have to wait for seating. I ordered an old fashioned and a cold war cocktail and a couple friends also ordered drinks. The drinks came out quick and were well-made. A friend later ordered food, which came out quick. As for seating, we were placed at a table near the front windows so we enjoyed having a view of the street. There were many tables in the restaurant that were fit for small parties (3-4 people) but it may be challenging to fit very large groups - especially if you don't have a reservation.

The crowd was mostly young professionals. Patrons were friendly and orderly as far as I could tell.

The staff was friendly and returned frequently to refill water or take additional orders. The happy hour deals were good, and there are good cocktails to order. It is a small club so some seating can be cramped depending on where you are in the restaurant. I would not consider it a quiet place, but my table did not have problems communicating. The men's bathroom had multiple toilets so there...

I thoroughly enjoyed this speakeasy atmosphere but modern-day décor. It’s dark, but warm but it is also very lively. This place is popular, many bodies fill up the place with a lovely and informative staff. I didn’t know what to get at first, but I had my server explain to me the options and which ones were popular among the crowd. I tried a few different things and everything that was handed to me was great in flavor. I think the portion size for what you are buying is very fair so don’t be afraid to try more, you won’t be saddened. The food menu does change so don’t be afraid to keep up, they even have specials on cocktails and even offer flights of bourbon and more. I felt very laid back here and left alone but very much helped by staff. I can see it as a good first date place where it’s energetic but also a place where you can get to know someone, be able to hear your party and enjoy every detail of the establishment. The only other detail I would keep in mind about this place is the parking, come early to arrive on time.

Uh a meal in downtown Ann Arbor for four for under $100 dollars. I didn’t think that was possible and to have it be this good too… Wow. Went here for Mother’s Day and started with the shrimp and the sprouts. Shrimp were very good and crispy but the Brussels sprouts were heavenly. Super crispy with plenty of bacon. I had the fish tacos and the fish was super crunchy maybe just add a little more sauce. I really enjoyed the corn tortillas they came in which were lightly fried to give them a little crispness. UPDATE: Revisited in Mother’s Day 2024. Prices have gone up significantly. The charcuterie board was great. The Lox appetizer was too heavy on the horseradish. The duck was overcooked and dry. Fish tacos were still good.

01 May 2019 5 star 2019 menu has quite a few Asian-adapted dishes, and I'm glad to say they were delicious! I got the Ahi Tuna Filet with the Black Sticky Rice and Papaya Salad. The filet was delectable: carefully encrusted on the outside and succulent and refreshing on the inside. The salad was decent (could use more fish sauce and heat, but I get that it should be palatable to the wider audience). The sticky rice had that hint of sweetness that glutinous rice always has; it brought me back to my parents' Filipino cooking. The ambience is nice and dim with some chill tunes. Our server, Jeff, was very professional, knowledgeable, and not pressuring. The overall experience greatly surpassed expectations. Thanks, Raven's Club.
