Qahwah House - Ann Arbor — Restaurant in Ann Arbor

I'm a big fan of Qahwah House, but my experience at the Ann Arbor location was extremely disappointing. I came in excited to try their new location. I saw they had an updated menu but when i asked the young cashier on a few items he had no idea what I was talking about. I then ordered a latte with almond milk, only to be told they don’t even have almond milk.

The atmosphere felt unwelcoming. There was only one worker at the cashier who seemed lost and unfamiliar with the menu. When I asked for help, he said his manager was in the back. After waiting, I saw the "manager" finally emerge—a high school kid in sweats, on their phone, completely uninterested.

This place honestly sucks on all counts. Way overpriced for underperformed drinks, service was terrible, bad experience, and I hope no one goes to this place. I don't understand how they have so many locations.

I told the barista that it was my first time there, I tried the Yemeni latte, which is not worth any money, then I asked for Traditional cold brew. They don't have any apparently, all she said was "I can make an iced Americano." No cold brew, no nitro cold brew, no iced drip coffee, all of which are on their menu. I got the iced americano for someone and they didn't like it, and this person will drink gas station coffee.

Not only were they respectful and understanding, but they also kept the store super clean and organized. They were wiping things down, keeping the workspace neat, and making sure everything ran smoothly.
