I met the love of my life at Scorekeepers Sports Grill and Pub. It was a Tuesday night, and in the wake of a recent rejection from transferring to the Ross School of Business I strolled in planning on drowning my sorrows away in a mimosa (with a garnish of rosemary). As I took my first sip, I looked across the bar and noticed her. She was deep in conversation with the 2 people who accompanied her, often laughing in between exchanges. I noticed the shirt she was wearing featured a joke regarding the complications between aggregate demand and supply, which was exactly what my undergrad thesis was about. I was astounded. In my trance, she spotted me staring off in her general direction, and I grew beet red. How could this night get any worse? They exchanged giggles and I decided I had nothing to lose. As I walked over she sat up straighter and fixed her hair, and I wanted to die. After introducing myself, it all came easy. The conversation flowed by so fast 20 minutes went by in the blink of an eye. Before we knew it, 2 am had arrived, so we scampered out of the establishment. We headed back to my place to have some fun, and you guessed it, discussed the implications of the 2008 Zimbabwe hyperinflation for hours on end. It was perfect. She’s laying on my chest now as I write this. We’re going to name our first child “Skeep” after Scorekeepers Sports Grill and...
Read moreAWFUL customer service. First we were accused by the manager Jason, of being liars that the sign saying "Internet" was off, while it was clearly on! Me and my girlfriend came here to have a pint of beer and have some internet access instead of going to a coffee shop. We asked at the door if we can hook up to the internet and we were advised "yes" before we even ordered. Despite the fact that none of their draft beers were working, apart from Miller light, we still ordered the beer just to find out that not only beer is not working, but the internet too! We asked politely if we get any discount since we did come for the internet access, and now we ordered and we found out that we don't, the manager was called in to come and argue with us. I said to the manager it is not about the money but a principal thing that if you advertise something that you can not offer you should make it up to the customers. Instead of offering at least a dollar off, the manager was very rude saying we were lying out of our a%@*s that the sign advertising internet access was off. It was not! Even if it was, isn't a companies responsibility to make sure customers are satisfied rather than insulted and called liars on a Saturday night? I am never going back to this place again and if you want a good night out, I wound't advice...
Read moreOriginal review: One of my least favorite bar/clubs in Ann Arbor. Inconsistent drinks, rude staff, poor line management, and lots of fights. My most momeorable experience was a couple months ago when I watched one particularly angry patron vault over the bar upstairs to assault the bartender. Pretty much summed up my other similar experiences at Skeeps as well. Granted, I mainly went here on Friday/Saturday nights, so I can't speak to the atmosphere during the early evening/during GameDay. If you are looking for a better/safer atmosphere try Rick's, Live, or most...
