Circ is a three level bar which includes: The Circ Bar - Rooftop Bar The Root Bar - Basement/SpeakeasyBar The Tiki Bar - Outside bar with firepit and grilled/bbqish food. I believe there's a different name for the entire business but I can't remember. Circ is the upstairs/rooftop bar venue. They have a couple pool tables and two bars with several bartenders at each. Went during the summer so its less crowded because college kids are out of town. Pretty spacious venue. Drinks are definitely wayy cheaper than buying from their basement/speakeasy bar Root. Cool looking place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Outside there are games when you walk in like cornhole and random stuff. Not sure if its free to play or not.

We had the honor of hosting our wedding reception at the Circ and Rabbit Hole this summer and had an incredible experience all around. The events coordinator responded to my many dozens of emails answering questions and giving me suggestions of how to plan the best day... And it certainly was just that! The food (provided by The Circ) was fantastic, especially the steak. The bar was incredible- a thousand times better than your standard wedding bar, and the ambiance was perfect. I could not recommend this place and these people any more- it is an EXCELLENT wedding venue.

Nick, Extremely aggressive manager told my friend and i he would be off at 2 am to fight us. He took one person's word stating my friend was racist even though we are regulars and come here often never to bother anyone but to sing karaoke. He then kicked 4 women out for literally no reason because he wanted to feel some sort of value within his aggression. If you want to pay a cover and be mindlessly kicked out, here's your guy, take a look!

The bouncers/security were awful tonight. There was an empty space with a table and a couple of chairs where no one was allowed or seated at all night(which of course is no issue), blocked off with a couple of stanchion posts. The bar was busy and we were standing about 6 inches off of “the rope” of the stanchions and security freaked out and would physically push us and tell us to get off the rope that we weren’t even touching. This happened multiple times throughout the night and we weren’t even close to touching it. I tried asking what the area was for curiously and the security tonight either didn’t understand me or didn’t want to give me a clear answer and just told it’s to get off the rope that we were not near. Incredibly frustrating. Seemed like those boys have a power trip since they deal with college kids mostly. Maybe be a professional next time and understand no one is trying to push through your empty blocked off area by the stage.

We were there before it got busy and the floors were so sticky, I can’t imagine they had been cleaned anytime recently.

Other than that, service was good. Security was just awful repeatedly, looked like 18 year olds that didn’t know what they were doing after my friends finished their karaoke we left because of the irritation. Can’t say I’d come...

Was here Saturday night 8/31 after the Michigan football game with a friend for karaoke. My voice was horse from yelling at the game, so I wanted some lemons, which I know to be oddly successful in soothing my throat, but..

A) The first bartender suggested a shot of honey and a cup of warm water instead, which is not what I asked for, but I gave it a chance anyway just to humor the young lad, and surprise, surprise, it did nothing for me, then

B) When I went back to the bar some minutes later and asked a different young bartender for some lemons, he gave me a shitty judgy look, but at least he obliged. But, with a lemon slice or two still left in my cup on my high-top table next to the beer I was actually drinking, the bus boy cruised by and snatched the lemon cup and threw it away without saying a word to anyone, air pods in his ears, and took off.

On top of that, my friend and I got to the bar around 10-10:30, each put a song in at the karaoke/dj booth shortly thereafter, stayed until around 1:30, and never got called up to sing in that time. The dj/kj kept playing whole songs in between singers and even got to sing a song himself with his female friend.

Oh, and $6.50 for a Pabst Blue Ribbon is ridiculous.

Terrible experience, and I...

EXTREMELY rude and dismissive bar staff, waited 30 min to even be acknowledged (even after trying to wave them down)… the girls behind the bar were more concerned about taking shots and socializing with their parents who were visiting than actually serving the customers patiently waiting for drinks. They completely neglected one side of the bar, even after multiple customers complained about not getting served and having to wait. I was also personally harassed by one of the bartender’s mom as well as the bartender herself. When I went to place my order she didn’t even let me finish stating what it was and walked off with HUGE ATTITUDE and then argued with me about a beer that they actually do serve as brand name (I asked for a “cervesa” and she replies “well cervesa is Spanish for beer and our list is over there” - pointing to the complete opposite end of the bar.) and my friend had to order from a different bar at the location because it was taking me so long to get served and was able to get a “cervesa” with no issues. this is a place that my friends and I used to frequent and we have never been treated so rudely. 100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DUE TO TERRIBLE SERVICE in the main bar by...
