A friend recommended Grizzly to us because we were in the area for a vet appointment. We said it had to have a patio and had to be dog friendly. Our pup got her own dog bowl and menu! This was MORE than welcoming for dogs. The beer list was harder for us to approach because nothing really called to us. Honestly none of that matters though because the food was tremendous! We got the Meat Pie, a side of Short Rib Mac, and the Smoked Turkey and Gouda sandwich. Meat Pie - amazing! Toppings in every bite, gooey cheese, and a delicious thick crust! Short Rib Mac - really well executed, I loved the chunks of onion and short rib and the broiled cheese on top? Stop it! It was excellent! We ate all the noodles and ate the last bit of sauce on our french fries! Smoked Turkey and Gouda - Mmmm crunchy bread melty gouda. DO NOT SKIP OUT ON ADDING BACON. The bacon might be some of the best I've ever had. Not over powering, not too salty, a hint of maple on the finish. My god... I'd take a package or two of just bacon home. The garlic aioli is the perfect pairing as well, nice and herbaceous. Our puppy got the ice cream in a complimentary doggy bowl, so cute and the perfect treat for her on a hot day! It was a no brainer especially knowing a portion of the proceeds go to the Huron Humane Society. Well done Grizzly. We will be back soon!

Please bare with me.... I can't say enough about this place. We were in a very hairy situation trying to accommodate 15 hungry preadators on one of the wildest nights in Ann Arbor. We just couldn't snare a spot. But one call to Grizzly Peak, and they gave us no paws for concern about where to eat. There is also a convenient parking lot right across the street. Atmosphere is family friendly (we had several hungry cubs with us, so that was a must!) Bench seating is available for 4, and tables can seat 9. I was surprised at how tasty the food was. I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich & sweet potato fries. They both needed a few less minutes of fire..but were still delicious. The batter in beer-battered fries was a bit overbearing. It was literally 70% batter & 30% fry. No real substance to them, and its hard to tell where the batter ends and fry begins. Maybe steak fries would be a better filling. Or, maybe combine onion rings and french fries somehow. I must admit i almost went into an uproar over the bill for 4 with 2 drinks was about $200 (incl tip) but the food is well worth it! Food was phenomenal. I apologize for any misspellings. Grizzly Peak just has beary good food! Please poke the thumbs up if u like this review!

I recently revisited Grizzly Peak Restaurant and was thrilled to see they brought back my all-time favorite dish—the Brewery Steak Sandwich! Without hesitation, I ordered it, and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere was just as inviting as I remembered, with its cozy, rustic charm, and the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. When my meal arrived, I couldn’t wait to take a bite of that steak sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The juicy, flavorful steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside potato cake. It was just as delicious as I remembered, bursting with savory goodness that had me savoring every bite. Grizzly Peak has once again earned its spot as one of my favorite dining destinations. If you haven’t tried this place yet, do yourself a favor and give it a visit—you won’t regret it. I know I’ll definitely be back for more!

  1. Street parking available or at the lot across the street.

  2. Came here for a friend's birthday and we had a large group. The the maitre d was very good at organizing the reservation and ensuring that we had everything set. They did ask for my credit card information to hold the reservation. Though at the restaurant, the reservation was for 630pm but we couldn't be seated then as they were still setting up for us. We were even allowed to bring the cake (though we were not informed that it will charge $1 per person for a cake-cutting fee). We had a group of about 18 people and we weren't told that the two cables would not be together. So we were tucked away into a corner of the restaurant it was not one long table so is hard for the birthday boy to jump from one table to the next to ensure all his friends were taken care of. I felt that this was something that they should have brought up to us because this was a concern once we got there.

  3. Ordering food was quick and straightforward, despite the size of our group. One server was more friendly and happy than the other.

  4. Friends order beer here, which is GP's own brew.

  5. Food came out slowly and inconsistently. Fried cheese curds appetizer was really good. I ordered the chicken bruscetta pizza which had a thicker crust than I would've liked. The crust actually tasted like naan. Some friends said that the chips were chewy, but overall I think everyone liked their meals.

  6. Service was inconsistent as one server was better than the other. Nice, clean place. Quite loud and busy, but it was a Saturday evening, and good central location. We were told that reservations, even of groups as large as ours, only have the table for 2 hours.

  7. Overall, fine experience. Our friend had a good evening celebrating his birthday so...

Just went to Grizzly Peak tonight for dinner with a friend from out of town, and was incredibly disappointed. While the food is always good, the service is very unpleasent. After we put our names down for a table, we proceeded to the bar to grab a few drinks to wait for our table. With open booths and tables in the bar area, we decided to sit town. A server passed by and I kindly asked her if it was ok if we sat down and waited for our table to be called, or if she would rather save that for her customers. (being in the restaurant business myself, I understand the inconvenience of ordering from the bar, but taking up a server's section, but because the bar was not full, I asked) She rolled her eyes and acted as if we just ruined her whole night., She then went up to the hostess stand to tell them to get us a table fast so that we would no longer be "in her way." We were taken to the dining area, where our server didn't even ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. She merely pointed to the specials and said (and I quote) " if you dont know our specials, they are right here" as she rudely brushed the menu with her hand, and walked away. about 10 minutes later, she came back and said, (and I quote again) " you guys dont want, like, any bread or anything do you?" acting as if it would be a hassle to bring us a basket of bread...like all the other tables around us had. She didn't talke our empty glasses and plates off the table, and had a very condescending demeanor when she dropped off the check. If i were the manager at this restaurant i would definately do a server evaluation, and clean house. Nobody wants to be at work on a friday night, but to take it out on your customers is out of line. If you dont enjoy customer interactions, work in...
