After an ad blitz across Ann Arbor and friends of mine who work image Bamboo telling me they really needed new members, I decided to give it a shot after leaving my last co-working space. I looked at the prices online and they seemed reasonable so I reached out for contract details. I was surprised to see that the contract sent to me was twice as much as what was listed on the website. Apparently what is advertised on the website is a bit of a bait and switch and is not the real price for the amenities listed with the price. That was the first major issue. But, I need a place to work. I decided even at the reduced amenities I could probably swing it, the only thing I would need would be access to the bike parking after hours in case I decide to take some meetings downtown after the allotted working hours end. My friends there say they need good community members and the bike parking is mostly empty, figure it can’t be an issue. But apparently I have to pay twice the rate needed, basically pay for a full time desk if I want to access bike parking any time after hours. I can get that at my old co-work, pay less and have way more amenities in a better location. I am not really sure what the draw is or how the vacancies are going to fill with this sort of harsh...
