It’s been a minute since I last visited Carlson’s in #Annapolis, and I *almost* forgot how good the food was. I truly believe that they have some of the best Thai food in Maryland! Curious to hear what you guys think though - please comment if you’ve dined here 🙂 I treated myself to a solo dinner and got a nice spread because I love options AND leftovers, lol. They thought I was a group of 3 b/c I got too much food 🤣Here’s what I got this time around: ▪️Drunken Noodles ($14.29) - I forgot how good their drunken noodles were. I got mine with beef, and it was absolutely delish. They include lots of yum veggies & the noodles were nice and chewy. FYI, this has a good amount of heat to it so you gotta like spicy. ▪️Gaeng Key Wan ($15.79) - LOVE green curry, and this one’s so tasty. I got mine with chicken & they were generous with their other goodies aka eggplant, peppers, and basil leaves! ▪️Kratim Pik Thai ($14.99) - stir fried chicken with ground black pepper and garlic in a light brown sauce. It was my first time trying this dish, and it was on POINT. It had lots of flavor & the black pepper was pretty spicy, lol. In general, the food here’s pretty hot, which I personally enjoy but you may need to request mild if you’re not a fan. I wouldn’t say they have the best ambiance per se, but the service is standout, the food’s amazing, and it’s very clean 🥰 And this goes without saying, but they have some of the best donuts around so def make sure to try ‘em if you haven’t yet. I love their Boston cream donut + apple fritter. FYI, their bakery + kitchen hours are different so make sure to check out their website for more info! 📍1022 West St, Annapolis, ⏰Thai Kitchen Hours: T-W 5-8:30pm, Th-Sa 5-9pm #mdfood #mdfoodie #fyp #marylandfood #marylandfoodie #dmvfood #asianfood #aapiowned

This is a local establishment run by a friendly bunch of Thai ladies, so you know the food is authentic. Even the donuts, which are the highlight on the menu. And since they open at 0530 in the morning, they also have a good selection of traditional American breakfast fare. Don't let the disposable dinnerware put you off, everything from the kitchen is very good. For the donuts, I'd give this place 4 stars. They don't have the widest variety, but everything available is fresh and delicious. The donuts rival Shoppers' giant donuts in size, and any toppings or fillings are applied in generous amounts. You definitely need to arrive early, they sell out quick! The Thai food is pretty good and authentic too, but the portion sizes are quite small. That's why I only give them 3 stars. Service is quick and pleasant. The dining area is clean enough. Their business is mostly take-out, but there are a few tables available for seating in the small dining room. Overall a solid local business, and worth checking out if you are in the area.

Went there for breakfast. Sandwich was kind of greasy. Donut was good. Unfortunately service was non-existent. The lady at the counter was not exactly friendly. Just point to the coffee table when I ask for my coffee. Seems to be very annoyed at me. 1 week later: Stop by for Dinner, Thai food.. Love the drunken noodles, crispy duck was dry and tasteless, sauteed shrimp dish was ok. So 3.5 stars .. More updates 2/28/20 Don't come here during dinner hour, have to wait 30 mins before they bring you water. Only 1 waitress/owner .. 1 hour before getting the meal. Sigh. Slow. Tom yum soup is just sour with out the taste. I will skip that next time.

Review for donuts only: If you're from the West Coast and have been wishing you had a traditional donut that is not Dunkin (don't bash me-I'm not a hater), then this is your place! They carry those fluffy/airy donuts you've been craving (i.e., maple bars, glazed whole & holes), a variety of cake donuts and they even have glazed cronuts--which I might add are a bit expensive, but absolutely amazing! And like West Coast donut shops, they only make them once a day and run out pretty quickly, so if you want a variety then get there early! I just recently found them and haven't had a chance to try their Thai food, but I've seen that they have positive reviews on that other review site (aka Yelp). I think they accept credit cards, but prefer cash for the donuts (especially if you're just buying one or two) so I would recommend taking...

Opinion can't be ivocal. Donuts are really the best I've ever tasted. But Thai Kitchen... I had lunch with my friend there. We ordered some soup, rice and shrimps. OMG... soup tastes like garlic juice (unknown smell) and there is nothing else except this reek liquid . Rice was too oily and bad favored (like it was cooked on the dirty fried pan) . And what about shrimps? Hahah... we saw probably just 4-5 small sized ones and ...that's it. By the way, all plates and ware are made of the cheapest plastic. When you eat hot soup with a such spoon , you can feel an amazing odds of recyclable stuff 😂

My high advice for you, carry out those luxurious donuts and run away as soon as you can!!! ( Because in a few minutes your hair and clothes start smell like smoky kitchen during busy...
