Country Waffles — Restaurant in Antioch

Food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the All American with a half waffle and was immediately impressed with flavor of everything on my plate! The waffle had a sweetness that blended well with the butter amd syrup.... that's hard to find. Every worker I came across was super sweet, friendly and eager to assist me in anyway. The atmosphere was totally chill and inviting. It was comforting to see regulars come in and the staff would be equally excited to see their customers again. Overall a very pleasant experience. I ended up giving a 4 stars only because of the misunderstanding of being charged extra for my meal. I ordered the All American with bacon, which automatically gets changed to Bacon and Eggs. However, I didn't find out about this until I received my bill. I had budgeted to only pay so much and a heads up would have been nice. Aside from that, awesome place and I will def be back for...

Let me start by saying if I could give negative stars I absolutely would. I just left this place on 8/13/17. I do not know how out dated some of these reviews are. The wait for a table was too long considering it wasn't very crowded. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food order to be taken and another 30 for the food to arrive. When the food finally got to us my food was under cooked and the apples tasted like absolute garbage and were definitely expired. Honestly the very thought of my food is nauseating. The entire staff seemed as if they had better things to do than take care of us (the customers). To top everything off the food was way over priced for the quality you get. I have never once had a good or even variable experience at IHOP but I would rather go there than this place. In conclusion if you are hungry your better off crumbling up a hundred dollar bill and eating that than wasting you time and money...

This was the last straw we will never visit again!!! Really rude, went in for brunch. Was not welcomed in was not acknowledged had to get the young ladies attention. Was told busy for dine-in but had at least ten tables opened. Asked for take out, the girl said I have to do this right here first. I told her no the customer comes first. Did she stop no she did not. I waited two minutes exactly then reiterated I'm a paying customer, she then went over to the cooks window. I could see the girl pointing at my husband and I, everyone turned around to look. After all of that we were told could not do because they were so busy, as a door dasher walked up for a take out order. Will never return will, never recommend. Mel's waffles are way better anyway. The atmosphere at Country waffles feels claustrophobic even when seemingly empty. We stopped in ( for the last time) because it was closer to where we were....
