I visited this location on the evening of 06/07/2025. There were a few customers in the store. Some shopping and others in line.There was a family at the register being helped by an employee, I got in line behind them, then another employee(Allison heavy set woman) came to the line and called for the next customer. When we approached the cashier, I informed her that I was interested in purchasing Pokémon cards.
she walked my son to the cards. After he picked up the ones he wanted, we proceeded to check out. After she ran our order,she asked for a telephone number. This is where things took a turn for the worst.
I gave Allison two numbers my account should be associated with. she informed me that neither account was in the system. I politely said well don't worry about it."" She asked if I would like to sign up for an account, then proceeded to tell me the benefit of having an account.
I declined, and she seemed very bothered by my answer . I went into my purse to get the cash to pay for my items. Once I had the amount, I handed it to her. When it was time for her to return my change and receipt, I held my hand out. Allison bypassed my hand and placed my change and receipt on the counter. As I scrapped my change off of the counter, I shook my head in disbelief. I didn't say anything. I just shook my head.
She noticed me shaking my head. She then asked me, "Was something wrong?" I told her yes. I explained to her I had my hand out so that she could return my change to my hand. She says " I have OCD and I am strict on how I return change" I say OK, still in disbelief, because she took the money from my hand, so I really didn't understand why she didn't place my change and receipt in my hand. She then said, "You're band from the store." I couldn't believe that I was band from the store.
I looked at Allison with further disbelief, and I informed her that I wouldn't patronize Gamestop if they were treating customer's in that manner. She did some type of motion with her head and lips as if to say, "Oh well." And I left the establishment. It seems as if she was looking for me to respond in a negative manner so that she could have a reason to "ban" me from the store from the time I declined to set up an account.
What was supposed to be a fun time with my child was interrupted by Allison's unprofessional and immature behavior. I wanted to inform someone of how I,as a customer, was treated. I noticed from other reviews that things of this magnitude have been done to...

After this shop being here forever it still has the rip off when buying back games but they have to make a profit and have money in reserve incase no one buys it. Enough if that though. This store though and the community supporting it has always been amazing. The team is always awesome. The workers can tell if you are unsure and try some add-ons or recommendations and they can tell when you just want to get your sh^- and get out, that is if they aren't busy. Even at the counter they do it. Got a question they WILL go out of their way to answer it. This store has always been clean, always organized and the community respects it. Even now with COVID-19, there's a 10 limit inside that, we the people, look inside to count and respectfully wait to go in. Everyone is very easy going with everyone! Strike up conversations at random and you will find favorites among people. And that is a reflection of what this Gamestop is. Read moreThis is a HORRIBLE place. If I could give negative stars a absolutely would. My last trip there they had cases out for games they didn't even have! I had to purchase the cases without a game in it, drive to another location, return the empty case and repurchase the game at the new store. Talk about inconvenience! The one game this store had in stock turned out to be scratched. So I go back today to return it. Guess what, they don't have the game. He offers to have one shipped to my house so I don't have to go to the other store again. Then tells me I'll have to pay shipping which is almost the cost of the game itself! I say no thank you and ask if there is anything he can do to compensate me for having to come down here and drive to the other store 2 to fix their mistakes. He tells me no I just need to be inconvenienced. To date that is 4 mistakes on this particular stores part and here I am having to go out of my way to fix their screw up yet again.
