We visited on Saturday morning around 9:30AM. It was about a 30-minute wait to be seated, which is okay, but their waiting area is very small. Once we were seated, our drink order was taken, and our drinks were brought out right away. We ordered our food, and it was brought out pretty quickly. I ordered the Biscuit and Gravy with eggs and bacon. The biscuit was really good. It was dense but still fluffy. It had a bit of a sweet flavor. The gravy was thinner than a normal gravy. It had a good flavor, but I prefer a thinner gravy. The eggs were cooked well, and with a bit of salt and pepper, they had good flavor. The bacon had good flavor, but it could have been cooked a bit longer. The serving size of the biscuit and gravy was smaller than normal.... but it was just right for me. The (2) pancakes were large and had good texture but were slightly cool. In general, all of the food could have been warmer, but I understand that we were there at a very busy time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back, but we would try to get there early, and I would try their Eggs Benedict.

I have lived in Oakley for years, can’t believe this is the first time here! Doesn’t look much from the outside but the inside looks pretty cool. Looks like an old diner with your normal adds on the wall, old Route 66 placard and a mural painted on one wall. Love the vibe, the smells of good food and the loud sound of the hustle and bustle of the kitchen! The food was amazingly delicious. I think I tried everyone’s food on the table. The chicken and waffles, Buffalo wings, French toast, and Eggs Benedict with sweet potato fries. Those bacon that came with my French toast were nice and crunchy and they were not one of those skinny bacons. The staff were super nice and very attentive. And their nice smiles were an added bonus! They kept the refills going. I didn’t know what to expect about the price but I think it was standard. Oh FYI, their hours of operation is very limited so if you want to come they’re only open until 1pm and it gets crowded. So be prepared to wait a little.

I recently stopped by this classic diner in Antioch, and it was quite the experience. The atmosphere was lively, with a nostalgic vibe that took me back in time. I decided to try their signature burger, and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy, cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The portion size was generous, leaving me fully satisfied. However, the fries were a bit underwhelming; they lacked the crispiness I usually enjoy. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure my coffee cup was never empty. One thing to note is that the place can get quite busy during peak hours, so there might be a bit of a wait. But overall, if you're in the mood for some hearty comfort food in a welcoming setting, this spot is worth checking out.

Got there and there are several empty tables. One of the waitress was finishing up cleaning a table. We sat there and were asked what we wanted to drink and almost immediately received our drinks. After awhile waitress "supposedly took our order". After awhile people behind me left. People infront of me who had arrived a few minutes before us got their order. We waited patiently watching the place start to fill up. A while after a couple with a toddler came and sat behind me. Two other tables to my right also got occupied. They took their drink orders and received them. The person I was with and myself still did not receive our order. After a little while people behind me receive their food. Person I went in with tells me they arrived way after us and their getting their food. I told her lets wait just a little longer if the two tables next to us receive their order before ours then that's going to be our queu to leave. So we continue to patiently wait. Waitresses pass us by never saying anything just looking at us and continuing about their business. I see the waitress bring two shake over to one of the tables and minutes after their order and then the other couple receive theirs. So went up to I'm assuming the owner or a least manager. Tell her I just wanted to pay for my drinks cause I was leaving since my order was not out had been there close to the hour and other people that came in way after us were receiving their food. She just asks me to hold on and the waitress that took my order apologized and said my order got lost. Really? She offered to take the order again and have the order right away. I said no I just want to pay for the drinks we had and leave. She said I didn't have to pay. I asked are you sure? She said yeah. So we just left. Completely understand mistakes happen but I mean it wasn't that busy when our order was taken. Hate to think what happens when they are actually super busy how they handle themselves. Best of luck. Just won't be coming back or...

Saturday, 7/17/21 was our visit to Lumpy's Diner/Antioch. We drove there from Union City...(We like to try a new restaurant for Breakfast each weekend). We were given a welcome greeting at the door by the host/server when we entered the restaurant and given choices for our seat selection booth/table. We were seated by our host, who also immediately asked if we would like coffee or something to drink, and provided menus. The menu offered a very nice selection of choices. It was a very large menu...something for every body. I selected the Lumpy's full Breakfast: hot links, 3 eggs, hash browns and toast. The cinnamon roll looked interesting, too. My wife elected an al carte pancake. Our server arrived with a smile to take our order, her name was Gina. We asked her a couple of questions and then placed our order, including the cinnamon roll. She was very friendly and it became very easy to engage in a conversation with her. We noticed all the wait staff was helping each other out at all the tables. Our order came out promptly. The first thing we noticed was the generous portions, particularly the hot links. The prices were very reasonable. The hash browns were nice and brown and everything was tasty. My wife was very happy with her pan cake. Gina brought the warmed sugar free syrup to to table for the pan cake. All the servers made sure we had hot coffee refills throughout our breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our total dining experience. Thank you to Gina, the cooks, and entire staff at Lumpy's for our excellent breakfast experience. We hope to be back soon.... Aloha A Hui Hou & Malama...
