Typically I am not one to write a negative review, but Im honestly just really frustrated. I love Panera but lately they haven’t been hitting the mark for me.. I’ve had missing items, or items I’ve ordered and then arrive at the location just for them to tell me they are out. Stuff like that I get, although frustrating I understand they run out, and it’s not their faults. Now, my recent 3 trips to this location I have had a problem with quality control with my food. My first trip they ran out of my typical order so they offered me a different Mac and cheese, only for it to be burnt. Then last week I ordered some cookies for my coworkers, and they ran out so they gave me chocolate chippers.. they were literally hockey pucks, I get crunchy cookies but These were almost not edible. Slapped some butter on it and put it in the microwave to soften them, no big deal. Now today, I ordered stuff from the bakery hoping they wouldn’t run out of the cookies I ordered, and good news!! They had it!! Got home to see the cookies were again so so burnt, the bottom of them were black.. Read moreWent to Panera in Century Plaza Antioch California. I saw the food items (4 Soufles) that I desired in display along with various danishes and muffins. I eagerly waited in line. When it was my turn I pointed to the 4 soufles. As another employee grabbed muffins and twists from the same display case and served the customers next to me, Christopher the employee serving me grabbed all 4 soufles and placed them directly into the trash can "in my face" at counter while other customers gasped! then told me the item in window display we're not available for sale at this time. Now I understand that there are time measures in accordance with health and food safety however, I found his timing, communication, customer care and engagement to be very hurtful, and rude. If they weren't for sale, why were they being displayed? Why did Chrisopher not remove them prior to taking orders. Read moreI meet my friend here for lunch. She was starting to order as I walked in. It was like 2 minutes I was waiting to be served while only one person up taking orders. The a young man came to the counter and I started my order. I never been here before. I asked questions and had a sandwich. My friend had order 1/2 sandwich and salad. I finished my order like 2 minutes before hers. I was standing next to her while this girl could not figure out her change because it was $16.38 . My friend handed her a $20.00. Then said oh I have the .38 cents. The girl says oh I can only give you the change what the receipt says. This young girl could not know how to give her because she only knew what the receipt says.I told the girl that 20-16=4 so you give her $4.00 back. This girl still couldn't get it.
