We have a long wait when there were Empty Tables available and when my mother put in her name they didn't write it down so people in behind us where in front of us and I asked for over medium eggs and as you can see in the picture they were over easy I also asked for crispy hash browns and they didn't do that it took us a long time to get a cup of coffee but a busboy when ask immediately brought us a cup of coffee the biscuits and gravy were kind of runny and so so the salsa that they have is kind of not really spicy I didn't ask him to fix everything because I didn't want to wait any longer for I was starving and when I fat person wants to eat it's now hahaha

This is my new favorite coffee shop. They have the best hasbrowns I've had in awhile. It's very busy and there was a steady flow of people. A annoying woman sat across from me and had a whole conversation on her phone with the speaker on. So I moved. I wonder about people sometimes. The decor is super cute. I hope they never change it. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is a flowing! My only real beef (except for the woman on the phone) is that they close at 2pm! This would be a perfect late night stop for me to have a good read, catch up with an old friend or a late night game of perquakey!

A regular favorite when we lived in the area, we used to eat here often on the weekends for breakfast. Pretty good sized portions and really good service, they always keep your coffee topped off. Weekend morning are usually busy so there might be a wait but it's worth it. Parking can be limited during those busy times too but there is some street parking nearby. It's been there a while so don't be fooled by the looks, I don't think the place has been remodeled in a long time but the service, food and price is right.

The only way I can get my sister to wake up early on a Saturday morning is the promise of good food. We always go to Cantonese brunch places, so we both thought we'd try something different. I have seen Chef's for many years as I always drive pass it, but I never really gave it much thought. The reviews were decent, and since it was close by, I decided to give it a try. The best decision I made that day!

There's plenty of parking if you turn onto Santa Anita from Las Tunas before turning into the parking lot. It does get pretty crowded during breakfast/brunch hours, but people come and go pretty fast that it's not too long of a wait. We waited for maybe about 5 minutes before getting a booth. The menu is extensive with a lot of different combinations and items. We decided to just split the Lumberjack Breakfast which was $7.75 for a Belgian waffle, 3 eggs, 3 bacon or sausage and a small orange juice or coffee alongside a side of hash browns. That's pretty worth it since a Belgian waffle and 2 eggs is already $6.95. They also have Belgian Waffle specials on weekdays before 11 AM I believe. Anyway, the waitress was like ... yeah, that's more than enough food for two girls.

While the diner was very busy, there didn't seem to be much service. Our waitress looked like she was taking care of the entire left side of the restaurant! She was ordering, serving, cleaning, etc. And the other sections that other people seemed to be taking care of were much smaller than the section I was in.

But the food arrived pretty quickly and oh my gosh, there was a lot of food but what really made me smile was the Belgian waffle. That thing is huge and super super delicious. It came with a side of butter and syrup, and when you mix that with the waffle, it's super melt in your mouth scrumptious! I'm a fan of waffles (especially the ones you make in the college dining halls) so these are a bit sweeter and more crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle, but so good. My sister and I finished every bite! She also finished all the bacon. The eggs ... nothing special. I ordered them over-easy but they were too undercooked for my liking. I also really liked the hash browns. They were crispy on the top but not too burned, and had a very fresh potato-y taste. It didn't taste oily or unhealthy at all! I think one of the best hash browns I have tasted.

I've been back and tried their French toast, omelets, etc. Everything is always pretty tasty, but the service is a hit or miss.

And what made this the best meal ever? It was only about $10 for two people! And the meal lasted me well until dinnertime. A bargain or what? Those restaurants that you pass by but never go to? They're there for a reason. You won't know what food is out there until you give it a try! I'm...

I have been a loyal customer for a number of years now, and had no major issues until recently. The last few visits, the service was horrible. On one visit, I went there with my father. I ordered coffee, a burger special and pie. I only got one cup of coffee the entire visit with no refills, and the servers never came around to ask if I even wanted a refill, which I did. When I finished my food, I had to wait a good 15 - 20 minutes before the server remembered us and came to ask if we wanted anything else, which by the way was about 5 minutes to closing. I did want my slice of pie, to eat there, not to take home, and he said that he was too busy. I guess this specific server cannot multitask and help all his customers evenly. My father had only ice cream and coffee, and he too got only a cup of coffee, no refill, and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else. We both left upset due to the poor service. And just recently, I went there by myself, sat at the bar, and was expecting the female server to come and take my order, since she was waiting on the other two customers sitting next to me on my right. That was not the case. I got a male server who, again failed to offer coffee refills, and never came around to ask if everything was okay. To put insult to injury, the female server came around, asked her two patrons, sitting directly to my right if all was good and offered coffee refills, while standing directly in front of me. She did not mutter a single word to me, how everything is or if I wanted more coffee. And to make matters worse, no one that worked there, the servers, hostess, and bus boys bothered to assist with or ask if I wanted anything else. Considering I was loyal for so long, even though the food could be a whole lot better, in my opinion, the service is now really horrible, several of the servers socialize more than they work, and the food is lacking in so many areas. I say take your money elsewhere, this place is not worth doing business with. This place went from 4 stars to 1...

I will start by saying it is my first time here and I was here on a sunday @ noon when I arrived it was busy. There were 3 people ahead of me on the waiting list. After 15-20 minutes of waiting I was called for a table. First we were offered coffee and the waiter immediately asked if we were ready to order which was great. After having placed our order it took roughly 30 minutes of waiting before our food came out. We were being cared for nonetheless by getting constant coffee refills. All in all the eggs and bacon were great but the hot cakes tasted a little undercooked from the inside. The coffee wasn't as hot as expected and the fries were crinkled fried which I personally am not a huge fan of. I gave the 3 stars because the service was fair but the food wasnt up to par. Pricing was not too bad it totaled up to $28.55 for 2 meals and a...
