literally worst customer service ever. all i wanted to order was one of their “make your own” bagels. when i got up to the register, i started reading from underneath that section - for the menu explains each step. for example, step 1 : pick a bagel. and then there’s a list of options. i started reading to the man at front what i wanted on my bagel. when i got to (i think) step two, i told him i wanted the “garden veggie” option on my bagel.
instead of calmly talking to me, he YELLED AT ME. like i’m not exaggerating- this man properly screamed at me. (for reference, im an eighteen year old girl who goes to u of a and this was a 50 year old looking man with a pony tail). he told me “you don’t understand. we don’t have garden veggie. garden veggie is its own type of sandwich”. so i looked back at the menu to make sure either he or i was right, and I WAS THE RIGHT ONE. garden veggie is an option for building your own bagel. you can get garden veggies as an option rather than putting meat on your bagel, such as pork or chicken. so i calmly told him “but it’s on the menu. i just want the veggies”. and then he YELLED at me again saying “i know MY menu. we don’t have that as an option”.
everyone in line (there was maybe nine or eight people in line?) all were staring at me. i honestly didn’t know what to do. i work in real estate and deal with clients everyday, so i understand customer service. and i know for a FACT that NO ONE wants to be yelled at by a middle aged man with a greasy ponytail when they’re just trying to order food, especially when they’re just reading what the menu says.
a lady standing behind me had to chime in and ask him what the hell his deal was. no one should be treated that way.
i also never ever EVER write reviews for restaurants. i never rate them either. this is my first time doing it. i am only doing it this one time because being screamed at when you’re just trying to get a bagel is SO AWFUL. i actually hope this man gets fired. i would literally never ever hire anyone like that in the...
Read moreWhere to begin. The service and atmosphere at the airport Brueggers Begal was a real treat. Based on my encounter with the employees, on 6/16/2025 at approx 10:07am, they were rude, disrespectful and make you feel like you’re an inconvenience to them when you ask for help. Not to mention, they ALL ignore you.
The order was a vanilla cream cold brew, where is says the cream and vanilla are mixed together and there was no vanilla and no creamer added to the drink and when I walked up to the counter they all ignored you and even more so, I was able to get one ladies attention and nicely told here it had no vanilla nor creamer and she looked directly at me and walked away. Then I got another ladies attention, who seemed to be a shift-lead of some sort and she had an annoyed look and says “you need to stir the drink, the vanilla is at the bottom” and I said even so, there is still no creamer and she says “you can add your own cream off to the side with little creamers from the regular coffee section” then she walked away.
The drink was supposed to be fully made behind the counter not have the customer open 10 mini creamers to add cream and not to mention there is still no vanilla sweeter.
Someone of leadership really needs to work with these employees and teach them customer service.
See photos below of the employees, especially the one who is singled out she was the one who told me to finish making the...
Read moreThere was a line of people with 3 people working. While one person was making coffee the other two were standing, chatting, laughing, and listening to music in their wireless earbuds. I used to work fast food, so I understand they may not be able to switch stations, might not be trained to do other things, or might just be new, but turning their backs to the line of people while chatting and laughing puts off a bad image and experience.
I ordered two bagels and asked for no cream cheese since they didn't have dairy free (I understand not everyone has dairy free options It would be nice, but I understand this and am not upset over this)
After placing my order the girl bagged the bagels and went to hand them over. I asked if I could get them toasted and the register person replied by asking if I wanted the bagel cut in half.
I replied with a "sure" to which she rolled her eyes and asked one of the other girls working to please cut the bagel and toast it with an annoyed tone in her voice.
I understand that some things can take more time, I also understand how requests can back up a line, but if it's going to be an inconvenience or receive an eye roll with passive aggressiveness I'd rather it not be offered.
The bagels were indeed good though so...
