Famous Sam's — Restaurant in Arizona

I’ve been coming to this Sam’s for a good while to play pool and the food is always good and service is even better. It makes me sad to even write this review because I really did enjoy coming here. I went in on Saturday night to go play pool and accidentally left my little Coach wallet there. I tore up my whole house and car looking for it, and called Sam’s 3 days later on Tuesday morning to see if I had left it there and I did. The manager told me she had it locked away in a drawer and to stop by later. When I went in later that day I was handed only my cards and was told one of the servers stole my wallet and took it home with them and to come back in the next day and it should be there. It just shows the integrity of some people. I work really hard for what I have. I’ve been a server before and have worked in so many restaurants and have never seen this before from another server. I would never take something that wasn’t mine. The person waited 3 days before taking my belongings out of MY wallet, to claim it as their own. I've eaten at Sam's around town many times and I always enjoy the food. Today it was so PERFECT I have to review it.

The wings here are perfect. I love wings and there is a lot of competition when it comes to wings, but these hold their own. Today I went with the teriyaki wings and smokey barbecue. They are the perfect mix of succulent and juicy inside with a lovely crispiness to seal in the moisture.

The meal menu is so tough to make a final choice from because there are so many great food items. The Pastrami Rueben really hit the spot and the french fries - I am a sucker for potato foods, and these fries always satiate my hunger for starchy fried foods. I'll be back to this location, the staff was really friendly (aren't they always great at all the locations though) and I felt an atmosphere that makes me want to spend an extra 10 minutes...

If a zero-star rating were an option, it still wouldn't adequately capture the abysmal customer service I endured at this establishment. It's a masterclass in how not to treat patrons.

My prior custom order which I've ordered here for the past 2 months—a simple basket of fries topped with a chopped hamburger patty and cheese—was inexplicably denied. A server flat-out refused, citing "joey," another server, as having previously agreed to it but now, apparently, the kitchen is too "lazy" to perform the monumental task of chopping a patty. It's truly astounding that a business would rather alienate a repeat customer than spend five seconds fulfilling a basic, reasonable request.
