I RARELY ever rate a business, unless they do an exceptional job and I feel others should know how great they were. This is not one of those reviews.
Well, I go to Sonic on Thornydale enough that the employees started to know my order.
I unfortunately decided that because of the errands I was doing in the area of the Sonic on:
3255 W Orange Grove Rd, Tucson, AZ 85741
I would put in a mobile order with them. While the employee did not look professional whatsoever in appearance, you're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover. While drinking my overly sweetened Slushy (that the Thornydale location knew me by) I noticed my lap started to get wet and I just thought it was just some condensation, but then it was soaking wet very quickly. I thought the cup must've broke, but I couldn't find the break in it at all. BUT I found a "Thank You SONIC" sticker on the bottom of my cup that I've never seen before during my many other combo purchases at the Thornydale location.
Apparently, during the creation process of my Route 44 overly sweetened slushy the employee broke the Styrofoam cup and then placed the "Thank You SONIC" sticker over the break, instead of, I don't know, pouring the slushy into a new cup!
Thank you for poorly dressed and groomed employee for soaking my pants, hands, car seat, and proving my monster car coasters actually can absorb a lot of liquid!
The employee also messed up my burger and I definitely shouldn't have paid extra for additional toppings that never made it onto it.
The tater tots were the same as other locations.
This was my one and only purchase at this location and I will NEVER go back to this location EVER AGAIN. Thank you for ruining the one thing I was looking forward to after a 13hr horrible...
Read moreStopped by and ordered a meal…still ordering and the guy cuts me off (later to find out he’s the GM) food was barely warm and the tater tot’s were old and greasy. They definitely had been re-fried. I went back and asked them if they could make me some fresh tots as the other ones were awful. The guy apologized and said no problem. A couple minutes later he gave me a new bag and I pull out again. I took one bite and they were the same tots, just colder.
By this time I’m upset, I went back and told him he gave me the same tots and asked for the manager. He told the general manager about me asking for fresh food and that he did not give me fresh tots. General manager really seemed like he could care less. Made me wait and in a rush just offered my money back. I did not take it…I just wanted fresh food. I get sometimes you get a batch that may not be so fresh…but when someone’s drives back to ask you to fix it, just fix it.
This has happened several times at this location and I have let it go.
Called the owner, no response. Apparently no one has any pride any more. It’s a shame. Stuart Sr/Jr used to really care… guess not so much anymore.
Side note: went to get my receipt to see if there was a number on it….I paid cash…and they never gave me a...
Read moreThe other week i decided to try the Sonic on Orange Grove. It was open (a week or so prior it had closed before closing time) and i went thru the drive thru. I was using a Lyft and placed an order for my family of 6 and a separate order for the driver (i offered). My order was incomplete which i found out when i got home. I checked the one huge bag and had to separate the driver's order from ours as well. I received a second bag of the fries and tots, but i miscounted. I notified the store and she asked me to verify that i actually ordered the missing food. She didn't place me on hold and i could over hear her and the cook. He told her that the missing burger was right there and had been and she didn't place it in the bag with the fries. I heard her scoff. And she offered to replace it. A second Lyft trip and i was able to get my missing order. It was not a replacement. It was the old burger and it was incorrectly made. I cut my losses and will try a different location if i want Sonic in the future. To be fair, the rest of the food was correct and the kids liked it. As did the Lyft driver (she took me for both trips.) Two stars for this location... Not for...
